Thinking of selling my traxxas rustler vxl only used it a handful of times ive done a few hop ups to it they include, proline desert rat body painted white ,st racing alloy front and rear hub carriers in blue,trx alloy castor blocks all in blue ,harded steel yokes,alloy hexs,rpm front and rear arms in blue ,rpm front bumper in blue,alloy shocks also in blue and the fan on the speed control . radio gear is 2.4 . As said only used the car a handful of times so its in great condition besides there being a little tiny crack on the body over the front wheel arch when I flipped the car over and its hardly noticeable . So what I,m asking is what do you guys think this car worth before I stick it on ebay

Cheers for the reply mate yeah makes good sense what your saying about doing some research ie looking on ebay and stuff . Not sure what i,m gona do yet i do like the rustler its quick and is a good truck but its only 2 wheel drive so limited to what terrain you can use it on . I find when on wet tarmac its tail happy and all over the place you just cant get the power down so i would imgine it would be the same on lose gravel and stuff . I had the ansmann kyrptonite before i got rid for the rustler that was 4 wheel drive and handled great on any terrain shame it kept spitting diffs all the time was glad to see the back of that . Thats why i,m thinking of the hpi bullet st flux simular to the rustler but 4 wheel drive

Just wondering what would be a fair price to ask for my traxxas rustler vxl as i,m thinking of selling to get the hpi bullet st flux .My rustler is in new condition as its only been used a few times and ran on 2s lipo , I,ve done quite a few hop ups on it here is what ive done . Proline desert rat body painted in white ,trx alloy caster blocks,st racing alloy front steering knuckles,st racing alloy rear hub carriers ,harden steel yokes,rpm front and rear arms ,rpm front bumper ,alloy shocks front and rear and alloy hexs and wheelie bar and its 2.4ghz radio gear.Just wondering what would be a resonable price to ask for this before i decide weather to sell or not

all sorted been on the traxxas forum and they have said 3.85 per cell so all sorted

When not using a lipo for a while ive heard its best not to leave the battery fully charged so can anyone tell me what the ideal voltage per cell is for storage

Try adding some car balancing wheels weights to the front i,ve done this on mine to stop it flipping over when on full throttle on a 3s it works a treat and also helps it cornering aswell as the front wheels dont lift so bad with the weight ive added to the front

VB batteries seem a good battery aswell i,ve bought 2 of these from a guy in filey in yorkshire i think it was there a 2s hard case 5000mah 40c cont/70c burst i,ve had them a few years now cant fault them . i think he may be on ebay think thats were i found them and i think his website is called www.rcbonkas.co.uk

Could anybody help me when discharging a lipo do you have to have the balance lead pluged into the balance board or is that only when your charging it ?

yeah if its the vxl you can run 3s lipo on it. just make sure they will fit in the car though some 3s batterys are to big to fit but you can buy an adaptor kit to get round this

I have the same issue with the overlander 11.1v 3900mah lipo when ever i charge it only takes 30 mins and everytime i put it in the car it ok till i hit full thottle then it cuts back the power as if the esc is detecting low voltage . when i put my lipo tester on its saying the battery is ok and also all 3 cells fine . It runs fine on all the other batterys i run in it which is turnigy 7.4 2s and vb 7.4v 2s lipo and dynamite 11.1v 3s so ive just give up on the overlander and put it down to bad experience wouldnt buy another i was advised not to bother with the overlander in the first place by a very clued up guy but never listenend so i learnt now dont buy another

Does anybody know where i can get a 17mm hex conversion kit for my traxxas rustler vxl . Seen a few places in the states doing them but cant seem to find anybody doing them in the uk . I want to put bigger wheels on as there seems to be alot more options out there in this size

Well all sorted now went on the traxxas forum them guys on there no there stuff posted it up 1 hour later had it all sorted it was the battery that was slightly over charged so i done a discharge on it for 20 mins all sorted now

Just pluged my fully charged 2s lipo turnigy battery in my traxxas rustler vxl and when i switch the power on the esc goes green for about 3 seconds then goes red off then red again then switches itself off . what does this mean as i cant seem to see anything in the handbook refering to this sequence of lights then turning itself off . What i do know is it seems to be the battery that is the problem as when i plug other 2s lipos in its fine . Ive just balance charged the turnigy battery again but the same problem . I,ve just checked it on my lipo voltage tester and its reading all 8.5v no1 cell 4.25 no2 cell 4.26. obvisly it is the battery that is the problem because its fine with all other batteries its got me puzzeld anyone got any ideas cheers and what could be the problem with the battery before i sling it away
