  1. Selling two original LipoSacks £10
  2. Hey, do you know where the entrance is? It looks like it's blocked off on google maps...
  3. Where are you coming from? I'd possibly be up for joining...
  4. Bought about half a year ago for £80, has around 25 cycles on it. Never charged past 4.2v/cell, never discharged past 3.3v/cell, always stored at 3.8v/cell. Balance wires have been shortened to keep them out the way of gears etc. Also put black tape around it to make it a more snug fit in my battery tray, with a foam pad at the front to cushion it. £50 posted https://hobbyking.com/en_us/graphene-4000mah-6s-65c-w-xt90.html?___store=en_us
  5. Where abouts? Fancy a bash sometime?

  8. Thanks, I've just bought a thermal pad
  9. I need something to fill the gap and allow the heatsink to make contact with the motor
  10. Hi all, What are people using to make contact between the Yeah Racing heatsink and the motor? The heatsink is around 41-42mm diameter, and motor is around 39-40mm. Would some kind of thermal pad do?

  12. Maybe someday I'll try the 4985... I wasn't aware there was an 8s version of the Rocket motor! Haha According to the Castle website the 1717 is around 47mm in diameter
  13. I think all brushless motors are the same, only the boat versions have vents in the end bell to improve cooling vs car versions are sealed but have small cooling ribs on the can
  14. Thanks for the honest feedback. I guess if it doesn't work out I'll put it up for sale and try the HW 4985. They're all 6s motors I think. Not really planning on running 8s as diffs are expensive
  15. Well, I went for the TP. Let's hope its up to the task!
  16. That's only rated to 6s, I think all the motors are unless I go for the CM motor. Just the stock Kraton wheels with 22T pinion
  17. Thanks for the advice, I'm not really looking for help on a heatsink though. Been using the Yeah Racing one for a few months with no issues, with some copper shielding in between. More interested in people's opinions on motor choices
  18. In that case the TP is the largest by a fair margin, at 107mm long. The Castle appears to be the smallest
  19. So your money's on the 1717? Yeah the TP would be a smooth can, so it would have direct contact with my Yeah Racing heatsink. I was under the impression that the tiny fins on the ribbed cans only made a small difference?
  20. Hi guys, I just can't decide what would be the best upgrade for my Kraton... I'm currently running a Hobbywing Max 6 on 6s, with a Rocket 4092 1650kv motor. To be honest it's actually a great setup, the motor was cheap as chips but I can get around 60mph on road, and 45mph on grass... No heat issues whatsoever. However I'm always on the quest for more speed, and would love to get 60mph on short grass. I just can't decide between any of these 3 motors. Which one would you pick? #1: Hobbywing 4985 1650kv #2: Castle 1717 1650kv #3: TP Power 4070 2080kv (CM version is too expensive) Thanks for any advice!
