  1. But you will be without pics, and more over. without any form of archive that has a meaning. Than you first..... your posts in the past with pictures? Check it. I do believe that pictures are important. Ok, unless you like me asking over and over. Best F
  2. Yep, Two engines: GX12 from an old Kyosho machine.. with kick start.. the one you have to pull. RBconcept X12, using a starter machine.. The GX12 runs like an angel. Kick start, glow stuff, temperature. Forget about: It runs. I got troubles with the pipe line. Checking it. The RB one needs patients. The guide above gives you hints. Do not check 3 times your plug and your plug heater. Also forgive a bit the standard guide. Just patient. In my case, when I thought I give up, the engine started. Very nicely, nice sound. Really use this guide as a main concept. But run your car. Cheers F
  3. So nobody yet. I find out that my nitro glow plug should work at 1.5 Volts. I actually measured 1.7 Volts. On the label it is reported 1.2 Volts. (very little label). The bigger label reports: Carson; 1800 mAh. To start with: What is the V/I I should apply to my glow plug? I read 1.5 Volts. What the minimum intensity? What the maximum? The question is pertinent. Can I use the starter batteries for the glow plug? How do I connect them? Can I burn out the plug? .. just because? So 1.5 volts... some ampers.. not that much..
  4. Cheers, been reading a bit. It is a two strokes engine with oil in the gas suff. Indeed the nitro stuff is adsorbing water; bad for the engine. Stop it the way you preffer but take care about the next step. soon F
  5. I gonna go and read again the post. But it looks to me that you are using and external service. What if that service is down? Down today or forver? Or the signed user disappear? Good guides are missing pictures. I am not sure, I am new to this forum, but I definitely found some past posts without pictures. On the other side I find this forum interesting, also the past posts. Is there a way to make pictures consistent? My alternative is to post again the old know question.. with pictures.. Sorry to bother Fabio
  6. Guide needed: All about batteries in nitro cars! [it obviously shares part of the stuff with the electric sister] Description of problem: 1) Just got second-hand stuff and I'd like to check. 2) Expected life time: vs old checked stuff (how) but also vs new stuff. 3) Standard data for standard devices. What is best for servos: Volts/Amperes? 4) Common use: Rechargeable batteries or not, what for, Tx, Rx, common batteries problems. Nitro specific: 2 issues: The glow "heater" and the "starter". 5) I have an economic glow plug starter kit. How long will the charge last? typically? Can I get the energy from my starter? Which one than will die first? 6) Does the starter needs that much energy? 1300A, how long will it last? 7) Where do the Volts or Ampere are important? (For example I guess that Ampere are important in the glow plug stuff but Volts should be useful in the starter machine.) 8) Going for a few hours ride. How many "batteries" will you get over? General again: 8) What about the economy of batteries? Rechargeable or not, life span of them. 9) I do not want to introduce a discussion about chargers. But: Does it exists a preferred way to charge/recharge batteries? (I take the occasion to address you back to batteries .. not chargers/dischargers.. but of course you can make use of them;) ) 10) How do you store them? Yep: 11) What ever comes useful!!! Notes: We do miss here a couple of things: 1) How to set up your own battery pack, 2) A neat distinction between nitro and electric stuff., It is my first time here, and first time guide request. So sorry if I missed something.... And thanks in advance: What should I do next?? Cheers F
  7. Hi all, new as well, .. Does it actually damage the engine .. to block the exhaust? One more question? I just got a voltage and intensity tester for like 10$ or less.. Can I use it to check the actual charge of my glow starter? Which numbers should I expect? Thanks F
