Guide needed:
All about batteries in nitro cars!
[it obviously shares part of the stuff with the electric sister]
Description of problem:
1) Just got second-hand stuff and I'd like to check.
2) Expected life time: vs old checked stuff (how) but also vs new stuff.
3) Standard data for standard devices. What is best for servos: Volts/Amperes?
4) Common use: Rechargeable batteries or not, what for, Tx, Rx,
common batteries problems.
Nitro specific:
2 issues: The glow "heater" and the "starter".
5) I have an economic glow plug starter kit. How long will the charge last? typically?
Can I get the energy from my starter? Which one than will die first?
6) Does the starter needs that much energy? 1300A, how long will it last?
7) Where do the Volts or Ampere are important? (For example I guess that
Ampere are important in the glow plug stuff but Volts should be useful
in the starter machine.)
8) Going for a few hours ride. How many "batteries" will you get over?
General again:
8) What about the economy of batteries? Rechargeable or not, life span of them.
9) I do not want to introduce a discussion about chargers. But:
Does it exists a preferred way to charge/recharge batteries?
(I take the occasion to address you back to batteries
.. not chargers/dischargers.. but of course you can make use of them;) )
10) How do you store them?
Yep:
11) What ever comes useful!!!
Notes:
We do miss here a couple of things:
1) How to set up your own battery pack,
2) A neat distinction between nitro and electric stuff.,
It is my first time here, and first time guide request.
So sorry if I missed something....
And thanks in advance: What should I do next??
Cheers
