  1. Suggestion? Post a thread in the appropriate forum. I'd rather we kept this thread for Kent bash spots given that they're few and far between!
  2. I don't really use MSN anymore tbh.. any reason why we can't arrange something on this thread? Everyone concerned has access to it then
  3. Had a quick rekkie over there this morning, and it's quite obvious that it's a favourite play ground for off roaders and dirt bikes, so there's a fair amount of deep tyre ruts everywhere, which make the going a bit rough for my Slash. However, I would imagine once we get some warm sunshine and the sand dries out and is softer, I can see it being an absolutely superb site!
  4. Just had a look at the Google street view pics of the place, and it really does look like a fantastic spot for bashing, so I can't imagine it's going to be the only weekend you'll find me there - especially as it's so local. My only reservation though is the pic has big locks on the gate. Is it privately owned? Not likely to get a bloke in a land rover with a shot gun shouting "Get orf moi laaand" turning up ?
  5. You sir, are a God amongst men. That looks like just the sort of place I'm after, and it's just up the road too! Might have to take a drive up there tomorrow with an assortment of vehicles
  6. Had a look on Google maps and found the field near the school; couldn't find the sand trap tho. If someone could post a maps link for where it is, that'd be superb. I'm just down the road in Aylesham.
  7. Is this where you're on about? If that is what it looks like it is on the map - i.e. a darn great open dirt space, that looks fantastic!
  8. Ok cool.. I will say though I haven't been to the Warren for a bit because there's a big load of works going on near the bridge or something which has meant the access road has been closed. I meant to nip in there today and see if it had been cleared, but forgot all about it! The car park would def be a good place for your Slash.. bit small for the 5B tho I reckon - see what you think. Oh and I love taking pics, so even if I met you down the Asda field with my camera and snapped away while you hooned it up with your 5B that'd suit me as well lol.
  9. Yeah the field behind Asda was one of the places I had a look at this morning. Probably great for your 5B - and the jumps look good too, but I'm ultimately looking for some looser ground rather than grass (bit more tail out action, and the debris flying from the wheels makes great pics ). Will Google for Victoria Park! The Warren is here
  10. Sounds good.. where abouts are they then? Boughton is a darn site easier to get to than Maidstone!
  11. Hey guys, just found this thread while trying to find a decent bash spot in Kent. You'd think it being the Garden of England we'd be spoilt for choice! Couple of places you might also want to consider that me and some of the Kent guys from TamiyaClub go to are The Warren in Ashford (great for crawlers, and the car park is pretty good for buggies if it's not too crowded), Pennenden Heath in Maidstone (just down from the recycling bit) and also the Pennenden park and ride on a Sunday when it's closed is really good too. Mainly gravel and bit of tarmac. Had a bit of a scope out this morning of some of the other places you've suggested too, although I didn't see the post about Mote Park till I got back. I'm 40, live just outside Canterbury, and I mainly run 1/10 electric cars (bunch of Tamiyas, 4x4 Slash, and a couple of Axial crawlers.)
  12. HPI do some great Muscle Car shells including the 'Cuda you've pictured there. Off the top of my head they also do one for the 68 Camaro, Pontiac GTO Judge, Mustang and GT350. I have a Cuda on my TL01B, and have a Camaro on the way from MSUK for my DF02 Plasma Edge
  13. Just a +1 on the RC beetle love. Of my 12 RC cars, 7 of them are beetles, and they're all different chassis. I have a Monster Beetle with a King Blackfoot gearbox and an 8.5T Brushless motor A Frog Beetle A Falcon Beetle A Mad Bull with a Proline Baja SWB shell on it (also brushless) A Blitzer Beetle A Re re Scorcher An Ansmann Mad Rat with a Blitzer Beetle Shell on it And I'm currently building an AX10 based beetle with IMEX "Tractor Pull" tyres (think Juggernaut).. designed primarily for mud plugging. Shortened wheelbase, 35 turn motor, 4WS geared up for speed rather than out and out rock crawling. Kamtec models do great Beetle shells, or if you want the real deal, a Blitzer shell + nose cone + L, P and Q parts will cost you about
  14. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=LXM871&P=M Those. They're for 1/10 trucks and are a 2.2 inch wheel which is the same as the MB (although that link is for the fronts. Yup I know MBs are fun, I first bought this one in 1986 and am getting it running again
  15. I'm after a set of HPI Superstar MT 2.2 wheels for my beetle and just want to make sure I'm right in thinking what I am in order to get them fitted. Tamiya 53913 wheel adaptors for the rear, and the front ball races for the existing beetle wheels slot straight into the front HPI wheels, then straight on the axles sans modification ? Have I got that right, or am I making pooch noises up entirely the wrong tree?
