  1. It's not what you know,it's who you know..

The Heli is in fully working order,I've saw it fly earlier this year.(when I was first offered it)

The spare alone must be worth a good few pounds..

I know the 3D Pro is a few years old now, but that means I don't have to worry too much about breaking it

and theres enough spares to keep it in repair for a long while..

  2. ok so took the old girl out today for her maiden and my first ever real world flight (nothing like the sims at all)

so the first flight went well got in the air for 5 minutes and landed ok. sent it up for the second run and as I banked round for the landing approach I used a abit of rudder to bring it straight...however I didn't realise that it wasn't perfectly straight up and down it was banked over slightly so obviously as I used the rudder it made the plane flip and nose dive.

so first question is... the prop was snapped in half so wondering what options I have, the original is a parkzone 9.5 x 7.5, 2 blade

just wanting to know what else I could use as these originals are quite hard to come by and expensive compared to a lot of others, also would it be worth getting 3 blade?

second question is....two of the flaps snapped off so what make/model of glue should I be using for foam?

    all good fun :)

    cheers guys

I'd try a 10x6eprop,, get it from Hobbyking UK ,they'd be your cheapest..

For the flaps you can use UHU POR (it's foam safe) glue and perfect for hinges,,

or you can use M3 hinge tape(hobbyking)..

  3. the ultra micro 4Site foamie is a small F3P aerobatics aircraft. very nice one to an cheap

word of warning, you have to be darn sure on your inputs,

know the limits of your flying ability.

can they be flown indoors in a living room, hell yeah !!!

loops stalls etc etc, the harderstuff like prop hangs take time.

    cuban eights the lot.

like i mentioned above its the pilots skill, i myself would not have a problem rinsing a F3P in a small area.

infact i would rather fly F3P air frames indoors than a quad or small heli, you can only do so much with those, but with the foamie

    you are free.

How so you will ask, well the foamies are built as slow flyers, they even come with airbrake systems

and fail deflecters you can add to the wings , they slow the craft down to walking speed, but still have the power

and the full surface area commands, so you have full deflection travel. ie you can realy stunt the them around.

    I want one...

  4.  micro planes , if your room living room is large a good flyer could fly around without crashing into walls :shockingscary:

Go for a mini Heli or Quad

Just my personal opinion here but for what use you'll get from a plane as it'll need a certain amount of speed to keep going, you'd probably be better off with a chopper or even a mini quad.

Lot more controllable within a house, I used to fly both my helis and quads round the house all the time.

  5. Hey guys. Is there such thing as an ultra micro 3D plane for indoor (possibly even in-house) use. Or do they not come that small? We have a reasonably large space in the form of a front room and dining with the wall knocked through. Is it possible anything can be made for that area, something to use on the rainy and windy days. Thanks for reading

    Something like this . .

  6. Was going to start a new thread but saw this and thought il post it here...

Four years on and I wonder if there any Magazines that you can get in the UK that is about 1/5 scale petrol or has a section for petrol cars??

    Still no Magazine..

BajaForum UK is your best place to ask any questions..

  7. Thank you for your reply. I have installed the D2826/6 on my Bixler with the Turnigy ae 30a ESC. I was following a discussion on another forum that said this motor/ESC combo is good up to a 7x3 prop in a 1kg EasyStar. So I thought this would be safe setup setup with a 6x4 in my 750g bixler? Should I be looking more towards a 40-50 amp combo?

You can only use 2cell or 3cell with that 2200kv motor and yes get aleast a 40amp ESC.

    D2826-6 2200kv Outrunner Motor.
    Motor Specs:
    Rpm/V: 2200kv
    Shaft: 3.17mm

    Voltage: 2S~3S (7.4v to 11.1v)

    Weight: 50g
    Watts: 342w

    Max Current: 34A

    ESC: 40A

    Suggested Prop: 7x4(2S) ~ 5x5 (3S)

I've been flying my set up on my Assassin flyingwing for over a year flying and a friend has the same set up in his Blixer

Get a 40amp ESC from  hobbyking UK ,a plush 40 amp ESC will do..

The 2826/6 2200kv motor is a very good up-grade for your blixer ,

that and a APC 6x4e prop(don't use the cheaper props , they bend / wrap ,while in flight and you loose power)

    Best Li-Po to get would be Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 30c/40c Li-Pos .

  8. Hey guys. Just had a thought about my bixler. I've built it with the ESC inside the plane, I chose a 30a esc capable upto 4s, on which I will be using it 2200kv motor on a 6x4 prop. I've had a look online and it seems 50/50, half the ones I see mount it where its exposed to cooling, and the other half mount it deep inside the bowls of the plane. What should I have done? Thanks for reading.

It's up to your self really where you fit your ESC,,,as long as theres some cool air getting to it  you'll be all right..

You mite be pushing it with the ESC on amp draw..

What 2200kv motor ? Have you done a Watt test to check Amp and watts.

    I use a Hobbyking D2826/6 2200kv motor with a 50amp ESC ,APC 6x4e Prop ,1300mAh 3S 25c Nanos ,in one of my Flyingwings (Dopplered ar nearly 90mph)...

    amp draw is 28amps,,, I wouldn't trust a 2 amp margin if I was using a 30amp ESC...
