  1. Biggus if you into scratch builds. I have the plans, but the cost of getting the Depron/EPP foam sent over to me ,would cost to much IMP . http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showatt.php?attachmentid=4468817&d=1323246709 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showatt.php?attachmentid=4472891&d=1323437110 Sean
  2. Stick with it and see if you can sort the floats out.. Wheres the Vid of it flying.. Sean.
  3. I like it... Good to see scratch build planes.. Whats the spec motor/prop. Sean
  4. Photo look well cool. Through the wheels back on and fly it . I was thinking about buying one when they first came out ... it would be to slow for me now ( I'm looking at buying a EDF Jet ) Sean
  5. Up for Sale is a custom built crawler. Tamiya TLT Axles. Axial Gearbox. Custom Chassis . New Shocks.. (there my build post in the Crawler thread from 1 1/2 to 2 years ago) and that was the last time it was used. apart from today when I'd recharged the Batteries to test it.. I spend more time R/C flying these days so I'm selling this as I don't use it and want to raise some money for a EDF Jet You don't even need batteries as you get every thing READY TO CRAWL. Come with afew scale accessories...you can fit yourself. Shovels/Rope/spot light/snorkle air in-take / working lights(9v) 4 white , 2 red, 55t Crawler Motor, Spare Wheel.
  6. The ESC will over heat ESC needs air around it .... Sean
  7. Gavins ESC is one of the Hobbyking SS Series.. I've never used then meself... But have several of the Plush (40a/60a) ESC and allways use a programing card , save me all the hard work.. never had a problem with them. I use one of the 60amp Plush ESC in my Blizzard on 4s, never failed me yet,,ripping across the sky at 650+watts. . With the TY-P1 HEXFET same again I use a programing card and once the throttle is armed they have been OK.. But would not recommend them One used in my Hobbyking 3D Hawk , the other in my Easy Oriole (set up as a trainer Hotliner, fast ,but not that fast)
  8. Is this your Rx? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28441__OrangeRx_R410_Spektrum_DSM2_Compatible_4Ch_2_4Ghz_Receiver_UK_Warehouse_.html?strSearch=Orange%20Rx Compatible with all Spektrum DSM2 transmitters. Try This.. Throttle off 0% Turn on you TX.... Plug in your Li-Po wait for what ever beeps you get. Move throttle stick slowly to 100% wait! ! ! are there any beeps? Move throttle back down to 0% same again are there any beeps? Do not un-plug or turn off your Tx while your trying this out.. I have 2 of these ESC http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=17135 I turn on Tx with Throttle at 0% , plug in Li-Po ,. I have to move the throttle to 100% then back down to 0% before it will arm... I only then get throttle control... It's just the way that ESC work..
  9. When your binding, (bind plug ,plugged in) Tx binds to the Rx,,,,, then remove bind plug... Turn off your Tx , The Rx should go in to fail safe mode(if it has a safe mode)... and start flashing How you check this is by running your motor at 1/3rd throttle or move aileron left or right and hold it there. .. turn off your Tx . . . every thing should return to the nautral position and motor will stop,, Even when you turn your Tx back on ,,,,,the Rx will still flash but slower to let you know that it had lost it's bind.. Unplug Li-Po... Turn Tx back on , plug Li-Po back in.. Should bind straight away..No flashing.. Sean
  10. I've watched the Vid ... Looks like your doing the right thing ? ? ? So,,,, Start from the begining again.. FULLY un-plug the Li-Po.. Check that all servos/ ESC/Motor are plugged in the correct way . . Check the Reverse switch on the Tx in it full up/down.. Rebind your Tx.. I noticed in the Vid was the Bind light flashing. if you un=plug your li-po.. You have to turn the Tx Off / On and then re=plug it back in... Sean
  11. Nice work on the floats.. Have you water proofed the eletrics ? looking forward to seeing the Vid.. Sean
  12. Thats easy to fix/repair.. Think of a Tenants joint as in wood work.. Cut the damaged area out , fit/glue the new piece of foam .
  13. Can be bought in most hardware stores.. It comes in iether White or Yellow-ish brown. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gorilla-Glue-Fast-Cure-Precision-Pen-Dries-White-/380364828112?pt=UK_Crafts_Cardmaking_Scrapbooking_Glue_Tape_EH&hash=item588f82add0 Here's the photo to show you what damage can be done to your fuse on a heavy landing.. Back home and repairing the damage.. What I use , Masking tape and White Gorilla Glue.. Apply the Gorilla glue to one side of damaged fuse, wet the other side with water.. Use the Masking tape to hold in together while it drys/sets. All repaired Back out at the club field for more flying.. Sean .
  14. Here a Vid from todays outing with the Assassin.. Onboard 808SpyCam view.. Best viewed in full screen. Sean
  15. I'm back.. Had a good flight with the Assassin Wing. See my Vid on my Crash Test Hobby.. Assassin Wing thread I'm not a big fan of the zagi wing ,a friend had one it tipped stalled all the time even when I flew it .. but after he saw and flew my Raven(slowest of all my wings) from Flyingwings.uk he bought one and has never looked back.. Think the best thing to do is ask the guy in the youtube Vid ,,what his set up it ..and what is the CG... It looks to me that he's using a 3cell 2200mAh Li-Po , Turnigy motor (thats all I can make out from the Vid.. Sean
  16. This is why you NEED a Watt meter . . No info on what props can be used.. E-Power 2215/20 1400KV 26A Brushless Outrunner Motor http://www.giantshark.co.uk/epower-2215-1400kv-brushless-outrunner-motor-p-403201.html I'm off flying... See you all later.. Sean
  17. I got over 20hours flying time last year with my Ventus glider on one 6v charged battery.. The joy of slope soaring.. These are not my planes in the back ground. Sean
  18. Did you / have you every flown this wing? . Still waiting on photos... Where here to help you , but you must help use aswell photos Sean
  19. You could still use you 2 cell...but really you should be thinking about 3cell . . . CG is one of the most important thing on a flying wing...(it is on every plane/glider/wing/jet) Your swapping out a old brushed motor that was heavy for a lighter brushless motor, straight away CG changes, you need to know where the CG point is . . even being out by as little as 5mm will affect it and the way it flys , if it flys.. the CG has to be spot on... Right so you want to buy from Giant cod link me to there shop and I'll see what I can find for you..
  20. Need to see a photo of the damage to be of more help to you.. Sean
  21. Photos.. Need to see whats under the cover. how much space you have .. Sean
  22. one of these.. http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/37065/ Do you stll have the manual ? it should tell you where the CG point is.. You can have the best set upin the world... But if your CG is out/off ,your wing will not fly Sean
  23. This would be my set up for a wing of this size... But I'd have a faster motor.. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__26718__Turnigy_2200mAh_3S_20C_Lipo_Pack_UK_Warehouse_.html?strSearch=2200 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=2165 your best being over with the Amp draw ,then on the max limit. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=14732 will take 7x4 7x5 props you'll need some of these for the ESC http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=9572 And defo one of these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__28713__Turnigy_130A_Watt_Meter_and_Power_Analyzer_UK_Warehouse_.html?strSearch=watt%20m Sean
