  1. I'm not worried about how long the battery lasts as such it's more the fact i heard that u need to have a minimum amount of power to run the motor and esc
  2. I'm looking at upgrading to brushless for my tamiya db01 I've found a etronix 2.0 with 9.0 motor and wondered what lipo battery would be required to run as I can work out c and mah but not sure if enough to run the setup? http://www.modelsport.co.uk/etronix-photon-2.0-1-10-brushless-system-9.0r/rc-car-products/368725
  3. im thinking of buying a slipper clutch for my Tamiya DB-01 chassis, but cant decide between getting a single slipper clutch or a double clutch any advice? p.s will be used with a reedy 27t stockstar motor and hopefully gonna be upgrading the spur and pinion soon
  4. does anyone know if i would be able to fit a power capacitor to a LRP Automatic pro reverse esc? http://www.lrp.cc/en/products/electronic-speed-controls/brushed-forwardbrakereverse/produkt/aiautomatic-pro-reverse-digital/details/ if so how would i do such a thing?
  5. can anyone help me with my Tamiya DB-01 chassis (BALDRE) it seems as if my ball diffs keep coming loose slightly now and then and i dont know why? i keep doing them up tight but not tight that it wont move, im running the car on road and some grass and i dont have a slipper clutch installed (dont know if that would make a difference) and im running it with a 91t spur and 17t pinion with a 27t demon motor
  6. Does anyone know where I can get the hex screws to replace the ones that hold the covers on for the belts and drivetrain on the tamiya db01 chassis?
  7. can anyone tell me how tight the ball diffs on the tamiya db-01 chassis have to be? cos the manual aint that clear and im worried i might not have done them tight enough
  8. Does anyone know if its possible to get a different brand slipper clutch for the tamiya db01 chassis instead of the tamiya one? If not does anyone know where I can get one the cheapest? I have student discount aswell if I can use that
  9. does anyone know if the trf415 front one way unit will fit a tamiya db01 chassis? as looking at it they look the same http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-415-416-417-Front-One-Way-/160540235714?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item2560f197c2
  10. sorted the problem now the car is finished and fully built, it seems to be running ok (only used indoors for quick testing) will be using outdoors soon, thanks for the advice m8
  11. well the 30 and 34 will not fit into the car as the spur gear is too big making the gear hit the chassis
  12. what if i use it to do little (no major big) jumps with my stockstar motor? will i still need a slipper clutch?
  13. does anyone know if its possible to fit a foam bumper or something which will take some hits etc to a Tamiya DB01 chassis?
  14. So will it still be useable? It won't strip my gears will it? Cos I thought it might be something like that holding it back from moving.
  15. Yeh I'm using the two pinions that came with the car, I tried the stock motor and tamiya sports tuned in it and it seems fine but I was thinking I wonder if its just that the reedy is a bit tight cos the motor is basically brand new? I even plugged battery in to test it and it spins all wheels etc but I was worried about stripping gears if its wrong
