i had the same thoughts as you as my mate bought a straight 7 cell battery and we had to gaffa tape it on, if you take the esc and the mounting pannel off there is a small plastic bulkhead you could just cut it out i havent done it yet myself yet so i don't know if it will affect the strength.if its alright can you let me know

hi i have got a nitrotek lightening stike brushless. i took it out today and it was all going well, after i got home i was gonna have another go with it. plugged the battery on and tried to set off but it would not go, the motor sounded to be turning but was not producing any drive. i took the motor off to see what had happend. it revs under no load but when any load is put on it the motor shaft doesn't turn but the motor sounds to turning? any idea what it is and if it is fixable?

the exact same thing has happend to me i waited and waited got fed up and cancelled my order, ordered the parts from microtech racing they came 2 day later

hiya thanx for your reply. am not sure what has caused it but it looks like the spur gear has warped, the teeth are still good and the shaft is not bent. i have only had it out for a total of about an hour

has any one had any problems with the drive train on a rustler vxl. will it be covered by warranty its only one day old has any one had this problem any advice would be much appreciated

it wasn't the build quality it was the service or lack of. i ordered some parts and waited nearly 3 weeks and when i rang to find out what was happening with my order they couldn't tell me anything except that it hadn't even been dispatched and wouldn't let me speak to the manager because he was "busy" that is not acceptable.

i agree they are good cars but the company is rubbish and the people who put the cars together must be blind

hi jst thought i'd warn people about nitrotek! i bought a lightening brushless of them and all was good until it broke on its first run "stripped both cogs" so i thought i'd strip it and see what else was wrong. there was no grease in the diffs all of the screws were loose the pinion gear and the main gear were only 1/4 meshed. then i ordered the parts i needed, i paid for next day delivery. 3 weeks later, still no parts so i rang them up. they hadn't even sent them out. they wouldn't let me speak to the manager or even tell me when they were gonna send them so i cancelled my order. avoid
