  1. I dont understand why ppl waste tons of cash on hopups that make little or no difference to the truck... Only thing i got for my revo was the forward only conversion and the pullstart... Thats all it needs in my opinion.
  2. Me 2 there poo for starting out!!! Revo till the end!!!
  3. yup the clutchbell spins freely both ways and the flywheel only anticlockwise... if u try turn clockwise it trys to pull the cord in further from the pullstart... hopefully itll be ok... all im waiting for now is threadlock from modelsport then ill put engine in and try do the gear mesh align thing!!! (Not looking forward to it lol)
  4. yup i jsut read the guide but im really not keen in slapping silicone all over my components... i may try a couple of balloons with cable ties though..that should keep atleast some of the wetness out???
  5. ok thats cool!!! only reason i ask is because when i carshed it and the eazystart took a dunt.. the car would move forward fine but when pusjhed backward it would just halt after moving slightly like it was jamming...it wasnt the brakes!!! i think it was the eazystart gear was jammed as the gear mesh had broken off at the top casing...
  6. Well i didnt know there was 1 already pal. I got a tube of silicone with the revo 3.3 but wasnt sure what it was used for...humm
  7. Hi guys, Im looking for tips on how to waterproof all the electronics on the revo chassis...but also the savage 25 LTD as my mate has one... Weve been running the trucks the past month in wet conditions going through some puddles here and there but im a bit worried about the electronics as the servos have been getting wet with little water leaking through the receiver/throttle servo boxs... When im cleaning i also like to use water to wash as much off the dirty and crap off as possible but im thinking if the electronics were sealed up i could maby use the shower to blast the truck with water??? I have stripped as much off the electronics off as possible so far due to minor hopups this includes the optidrive/glowheater wires off...and i have also just done away with the whole eazystart motor/electronics...for a Pullstart. So now i have the receiver, receiver batt, throttle servo and 2 steering servos to worry about!!! How would i go about waterproofing these pretty good??? I know its only really the steering servos that are fully exposed but i would like to do them all just for peace of mind!!! So far im thinking some sort of little bags (coloured if i can find ) to wrap each component in with only the connection wire coming out the top and using cable tie to tighten the bag shut!!! Any other suggestions???
  8. So when the engine is installed back in to the truck and i move the truck backwards the flywheel should turn??? im turning the flywheel by hand and it only turns anticlockwise atm!!!
  9. yeah im not putting it toghter without threadlock jsut ordered some soft threadlock off modelsport... now just need to work out if my engine should turn both ways usign flywheel...bearing in mind pullstart is installed...
  10. yeah it looks ok just a bit stiff i think it will be ok though...think i expected it to turn as good as the eazystart... one thing i did notice though the engine only turns one way now...if it goes the other direction it winds the pullstart cord in and wont turn anymore! is this suppost to happen? because if you pushed the car backwards wouldnt it stick? It was actually sticking after the crash which caused the eazystart to get some damage but im thinking it was jammign when u pushed it backwards because the engine had moved closer to the spur gear and it was trying to turn the flywheel instead of slipping??? Since ive taken the engine out i dont have any threadlock so gonna have to wait till some arrives before i put it all back together again
  11. serisouly you cant just hand some 1 over a revo or sav which has been tuned and ready to go... they must understand the speed/power and how it handles or it will just end with broken parts or damage to someone/something
  12. Well i received the pullstart for my TRX 3.3 engine today after wrecking the eazystart... anyway i put it on the backplate with the oneway bearing out of the eazystart and tightened the screws up pretty good... ok but i have a worry... when i pull the cord it seems to be really stiff and im scared to pull it harder incase it snaps the cord.. but when i loosen the glow plug off you can pull the cord much easier but when tightening the glowplug back up and getting compression back its just stiff again... So im wondering!!! How stiff should the pullstarter be and how tight should the glow plug go on??? Any advice on how to install it properlly or use it is muchly appreciated!!! P.S. Heres a pic of the engine with the pullstarter on http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?act=...si&img=2273
  13. After having owned a savage as my first truck i ended up selling it and getting a revo 3.3 Revo is far superiour in my opinion...Its great out of the box and doesnt need many or any hopups... Compared to the sav the Steering is far better, Acceleration and handling are also much better.. To work on the revo also wins hands down its far easier to strip down, Also the gearbox and engine just take couple of screws and pop right out... Revo for Champs! Sav for Chumps!
  14. Its a bit stupid to let noobs drive a high performanced truck!!! These things aint toys...
