  1. the std plastic one? or a metal throttle body style one to fit a aftermarket one? I should have a brand new metal one somewhere as I never used it. The only problem is I cant go in the garage looking just yet as my kids xmas presents are hidden in there.
  2. Personally I run em in in the summer with no body shell on to promote em running cooler, in the winter I break em in with it on to run it warmer. I do however warm it slightly in the winter with a hair drier 1st to loosen it up and warm it slightly before starting.
  3. if you take off the pull start, try and move the flywheel/fan up and down. If it moves the crank bearings are on their way out. I only know this cos my 29cc cy did the same thing. The bearing was on its way out, causing the seal to leak. The motor had been through 3 different cylinder heads though due to lots of use. The last one didn't last long and I put it down to the amount of dirt that was drawn into the motor through the leaking seal.
  4. hmmm I think i've found a use for my old 29cc cy cases. At some point i'd love to build a big cc motor and see how it went. I'd have to spend a few quid though as i'm sure the kit plus bearings and seals wont be cheap.
  5. +1 I have a cy in bits cos I never bothered rebuilding it.
  6. Baja can run in longer grass and on rougher terain imo. they crash worst, dont jump as well and need bigger places to bash. Can be anti social and cause police etc to come as they come looking for mx bikes due to the sound. Cheap and easily available fuel, they run for a long time on one tank too. Parts are expensive and they do wear out just like anyother rc Easy to tune and start You can run em all day without breaking the bank as long as you don't break em. Nitro Fuel is expensive and harder to get Can run near enough anywhere Cheaper to repair and buy Sturdier if you crash a lot Pain in the ass to tune Tanks dont last very long

I fitted a hyper 7 shell to mine. It took a bit of messing to move the front post mount so it lined up with the shell, but it looks the part.
  8. Ive got a nosram .28 in mine, it rocks. Although it drinks 25% fuel like it's going out of fashion
  9. have you checked the fly wheel for play? the crank bearings if they have play in em cause air leaks and cause bogging
  10. i've just fitted a clone to my ss, how ****in loud my jet pro did have a silencer thou
  11. Hi guys, i'm having a nightmare. I bought a 1/10th thunder tiger ts-4n from my local model shop as a ex demo car very cheap. It runs but as soon as I apply any power it spins up all 4 wheels and spins out of control like it's on ice. If I apply a small amout of throttle trim it pulls away ok, but the gentlest touch of power has it drifting wild and spiining out of control. It does seem to bounce over the road surface, but the suspension does have plenty of movement. Is it a ok car for tarmac? or is it just a set up issue due to tyres being poo and suspension being too hard?
  12. i've got a hyper shell on my xt2

I had issues with the servos it came with, I had three throttle ones and a steering one die in use. I fitted ace ones and the buggy now has a .28 motor in it and it's still going strong. I love it.
  14. nice job, where did you get the exhaust from btw? i'm thinking of getting a copy dom and removing my jetpro. doh, just noticed, second hand
