  1. If I get a program card how do I then make use of it? How do I configure the features?
  2. This is the motor / ESC iv ordered... however, been thinking, will my Spekky DX3s work ok with the ESC?? Or am I going to have to spend cash on a new modern radio system? the ESC seems to have lots of features but iv no idea on how to configure and make use of the features! Thanks
  3. I wasn't sure if the ESC would hang over the back and catch the rear wishbone. iv not bought the ESC and motor combo yet, ordering tonight so i can have a proper look over the weekend.
  4. I'm using this motor and I know I want a 17T pinion but iv no idea which pinion to buy!!! please could some suggest a pinion for this motor from Modelsport? many thanks
  5. I did wonder if there was a way of making the body posts taller? A bit more height on the body position might come in useful. is there a part for taller body posts or is it a mod job??
  6. I can only see the new hyper 7 body on MS. Will this fit the old Nitro that iv got?
  7. Hi all, my project isn't far from completion. im now looking for a new body shell. I did want the original hyper 7 body but I don't want the engine hole in the body. is there a body shell available from an electric buggy that will fit my conversted hyper 7? Ideally one that fits straight on?? thank you as always
  8. Hi all, im really struggling to interpret the dimensions of the ESC below... if the dimensions are in mm then why is there a .8?? also, which is the length, width, height? im making a custom mount so I need to get it right. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-ezrun-max8-with-2200kv-motor-combo-with-twin-deans/rc-car-products/397267 HW38010400 Dimensions: 59.8x48x36.8
  9. Hi all, im ok with M screws / bolts, done plenty research from the help of people on here such as Nitro, but I'm struggling with self tapping screws. Which ones do I buy? For example I want to mount a Traxxas receiver box onto a custom cut nylon 6 mount plate Iv made. Are all the self tapping screw threads the same pitch? How do I find the correct diameter I need? With metric screws / bolts it's easy, M3 means 3mm diameter for example. thanks in advance.
  10. Ok great, thank you, easy enough, will it be self tappers or will it come with the correct metric screws / bolts? are ESCs a standard size?
  11. Hi all, does anyone know how this ESC mounts? Do I need to buy another part / special mount for it? im trying to work out where / how to mount it on my hyper 7 Brushless conversion. thsnk you.
  12. I ordered M3... that is not an M3 surely??
  13. Hi all, i ordered some screws / bolts from an eBay shop. These arrived, what size would you say they are please? The eBay seller is disagreeing with me... Thank you.
  14. Daz I think you have hit the nail on the head... my rustler has a low voltage detector, basically it slows the Rustler right down, here I think I should have been stopping and removing the battery, however, like a complete spoon, iv been running the battery until the Rustler totally stops. only thing is, I have two of the exact same batteries which iv been doing the exact same with, yet only one seems to be playing up...
  15. I hand another battery which is the same brand, voltage and capacity, that one storage charges just fine. i notice the number in the bottom right corner of the charging display reaches are far lesser number than the good battery. the battery then takes 250 mins only reaches 500 ish whereas this battery the good one is so much higher!! Is this anything to go off??
  16. Mmm good question!! I do run in the wet yeah but I try to cover the balance lead.
  17. Hi all, im wanting to drill a few holes in my receiver box which will enable me to mount it elsewhere on the buggy. is there a way of making the holes water tight? Is there such thing as rubber washers in 2mm or 3mm? Can't find much on eBay.... or is there a better way to do this. i want to ensure the receiver box is 100% water proof after drilling holes into it. many thanks
  18. Yeah, well grease I meant. Was told to do this, that not correct?
  19. Hi all, i use a 4000mAh 7.4v Lipo in my Rustler. it used to take 90 mins approx to storage charge following a discharge. The discharge I refer to is a discharge from using in the Rustler not a discharge from the charging unit. now it takes approx 250 mins to complete a storage charge from discharge!! This kind of happened overnight, it was fine one weekend then the following weekend it started with this massive storage charge time. the battery seems fine when in use. when discharged cell 1 reads 3.49v and cell 2 reads between 3.50v and 3.51v. any ideas what's going on? 250 mins for a storage charge is a pain in the neck!!! thanks
  20. Panic over... i have worked it out. i reseated the rear diff in the housing. I actually spun it round so the crown gear was at the other side. i also removed the shim that I left out of the front diff, should I be doing this or not? i also removed some not all of the silicone oil from inside the diff housing on the rear. now the rear wheels feel looser than the front wheels, as I would expect with 30k oil in the rear and 50k oil in the front. the wheels now also turn in the same direction, for example, when I turn the left rear wheel clockwise, the right rear wheel also turns clockwise. all good, I think
  21. Ok... who wants a giggle. i think iv proper botched the servicing of my front and rear diffs. the front... when I now turn the front left wheel, the front right wheel turns in the same direction, for example clockwise. Iv used 50k silicone oil and the wheel moves quite freely. the rear... when I now turn the rear left wheel, the rear right wheels turns in the opposite direction, for example anti clockwise. Iv used 30k silicone and for some reason feels stiffer / tighter than the front which has a heavier silicone oil. what on earth could have I done wrong? all I can think is the following... - I'm yet to add a shim back into the front diff that I missed off during the rebuilding of the diff. - Iv used slightly more silicone oil within the diff housing on the rear than on the front. - I have not yet installed the drive shafts that connect the rear to the centre or the front to the centre. pleaae can someone help? many thanks.
  22. Hi all, is there such a thing as a countersink drill bit for a 3mm and 2mm drill bit? im making a part for my brushless hyper 7 and I need the drilled holes to be countersunk. i can't find much so hoping someone can point me in the right direction. il be using the small drill bits with a dremel so maybe there is some kind of kit available?? many thanks
  23. Im making a mount for the receiver box and ESC. The mount will be getting screwed into the top of the central diff.
