  1. im thinking this... Aussel Hex Socket Screw Bolts Nuts Stainless Steel M2 M3 M4 Screw Nuts Assortment 360PCS (Hex Screws-360PCS) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B071J1CKXH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_SGjKEb8RW64XP what length would you say?
  2. do I need to be concerned with the thread pitch?
  3. Many thanks, I’ll get a few lengths 👍👍
  4. Hi all, hope everyone is staying safe. Does anyone know what size screws the following motor takes? Hobbywing EZRUN 4274 2200kv im trying to mount it to a mount I had made for my hyper 7 brushless conversion but the mount is quite thick making the screws I have too short. i need longer screws but I’m not sure what to buy. thanks in advance 👍
  5. Quick update... Bearings all good. i changed the hub / bearing carrier as above and the issue is now resolved. Both sides have same amount of wobble which I can live with. thank you
  6. I think Iv sussed it... a while back I broke a hub / bearing carrier. I replaced it with an RPM upgrade and left the un broke in situ. The RPM hub / bearing carrier is the one sitting tighter with less movement. il change the stock for RPM and see how it is. many thanks everyone
  7. Hi all, i just cant work out why the front two wheels are so wobbly on my rustler. the right side is far worse than the left side, this makes the situation worse as the wobble isn’t even on both sides!!! everything is screwed tight. I do have the camber in set very high which means the wheels lean in to give me better cornering, this of course means the rods have been adjusted. has anyone had this before? Sure it wasn’t like this when I bought it. any suggestions please? thanks
  8. Found them thank you. will a wider stance help prevent grip roll then?
  9. Think so? do modelsport sell them?
  10. Hi all, is there a way to make my rustler wider? i did this with my FG marder but I can’t remember the name of the part. Basically the hex fitting that the wheel connected to was longer making the buggy wider. i want to do this on my rustler as the grip roll from the badlands is too much!! Even with camber in a few extra degrees and a low suspension setting, it still rolls for fun!! many thanks Wayne
  11. Hi all, Is it still possible to get parts for the Hyper 7 TQ Sport? Mine is the green one rather than the orange one. i need a servo tray for mine. i started a brushless conversion but half way through had second thoughts as my hyper 7 was bought many years ago as a gift and I would like to keep it. I chopped the servo tray tho so need a new one. its not been run for years so the engine might be knackered also. any help is always appreciated. thank you Wayne
  12. Hi all, can I buy another receiver to work with my Traxxas TQI transmitter? I have a rustler vxl and a hyper 7 brushless conversion and I want to make use of my Teaxxas TQI transmitter for both models. many thanks Wayne
  13. Hi all, im concerned about the state of my chassis. See the image. is there such thing as a skid plate? Or would I need to make such a thing. im worried the screws will soon work loose as the chassis continues to wear away. many thanks as always Wayne
  14. Hi all, smashed the rear wishbone on my rustler vxl and bent the shaft that holds it onto the chsssis. this is this replacement part but iv no idea where to find a replacement shaft. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=31910 can anyone help please? many thanks
  15. Hi all, im ditching the badlands, the grip roll is driving me nuts! does anyone know which are the stock wheels / tyres for the Rustler VXL? I just need a rear set. Pleaae can you share the link with me, ideally from modelsport please. i can't seem to find them, I found a set but it says they are 2.8 which I didn't think the stock ones were. I thought the badlands were 2.8 and the stock ones smaller. thanks
  16. Hi all, can anyone please give me a link to the stock / standard wheel / tyre set the Rustler VXL ships with. I can find them on modelsport. thank you
  17. I'm thinking this will do... https://www.modelsport.co.uk/traxxas-23t-pinion-gear-48-pitch-/rc-car-products/30454 48dp is the pitch. It says it's compatible with the rustler VXL. I assume the spur must have a 48dp pitch?
  18. Thanks, yeah it's 3mm. looking at 22t pinion gears on modelsport now. What does gear pitch mean? For example 48dp 32dp. What does this mean please?
  19. Its 25 currently. iv no idea of the shaft size tho?
  20. Please could you recommend a good gearing?
  21. From new yeah. So weird that the 5000mah battery makes the ESC really hot! Isn't this cow the battery can deliver more amps than the 4000mah battery?
  22. Quite a bit bigger yeah, not too sure on dimensions.
  23. Thought it was worth its own thread... turns out going for pro line badlands on my Rustler VXL wasn't the best idea. well... I didn't change the gearing so it's my own fault. The ESC is over heating way to easily with the big badlands installed. I need to re gear!! But re gear to what??? what is the standard gearing of a rustler VXL? 25/83? do I need to change for a pinion with less teeth? If so, how many teeth? Will I also need to change the spur? re gearing is new to me, looking for help on the best gearing for using large gripppy tyres (badlands) on the Rustler VXL running 2s 5000mAh. what shaft size do I need? 5mm or less? Iv got the motor that came with the Ristlsr. many thanks
