mo99y
Hi, What are my options, other than std Tamiya parts for replacement tyres for a boomerang, currently with std wheels. Alternatively, if they are an odd size, can I get adapters from the Tamiya hub to a 12mm hex wheel. Will be running mixed surfaces, including tarmac, so fairly resilient, or cheap! Not looking for competition grade, just for knocking around. Thanks. Rich
mo99y
Well, after a bit of browsing, I have found the Tamiya 12mm hex adapters. And am now overwhelmed by the choices of tyres and wheels available. I was considering The Dirt Hawg tyres from proline. But they seem to be larger dia. Will they work ok? Or should I just go for a generic mini-stud type tyre. (There are some cheap fasttrack tyres and wheels, even the Schumacher ones seem ok value, compared to the Tamiya block/spike tyres for the boomerang) Would softer tyres help the durability of the car (ie prevent the suspension from getting a hammering)? Any recommendations appreciated....
evssv
soft tyres will wear quiker obviously...not sure how they would affect the handling..Over harder tyres...
