Pearce
I am, just with Losi diffs Cool, how do you find them ? Do you think there noisy to ? If you speak to Lee marson (leeboy) on opple and also Sdmcc He's running a thick grease stuff from js spares Same stuff as jamie Thomas (jt models) was running Actually he might have some for caldicot sun Hope this helps
Pearce
Well With caldicot coming up this sun I've taken a dramatic step My current set up was 40 wt front 30/35 rear ( forgot) Found steering and handeling really difficult last Sunday Sooooooo Before I drilled my pistons out I went for 30 front 20 rear But in doing this I had to higher the car as with such thin oil it was SUNK On a bench test and a few blitzes round the kitchen and living room it seems to be ok The thinner oil still seems a lot heavier ovef factory and how it would in. Other cars as the standard pistons are so small Here's some vids , ought and I redone the front diff Look at the comparison in front and rear I'm Applyin same pressure The front is far tighter RESULT Ps ignore my kid naggin in back round
Pearce
After watchin the vid back Just thought I'd clear that banging is not chassis Slap it's just the tyres banging the table
Pearce
Update Sorry it's been a while Shock oil worked fantastic in the car , if anything front needs to go a touch lower There's s slight lock on front x1 wishbone that I dremeled a mill off this week that had helped as it was catching My tyres never arived in time for wrca on sun so ran on really worn White rally blocks and I hard these best of time Did terrible , came 1st in c final . Disgusted , but was excellent day out and a barrel of laughs Well done to calldicott Also ordered the front adjustable hinge pin holders today from states , should see these in 2-3 weeks Only 12 quid and deliverd to , even though my home made one works a treat lol I have some stock tyres , Bart and also mini pins and rally blocks for sale if anyone's interested
Pearce
Forgot to mention earlier I noticed when doing the hinge pin mod that the bumper was damaged (as in just seemed as if it had recieved impact before and folded on the seam were it kicks up) Any how back on it went , no issues However when , brushing the car off on sun, cleaning dog bones etc if carpet built up I noticed it had snapped and fallen off To be honest this is a major weak point , that's mainly the reason of the alloy front hinge pins holder , will be solid on impact and not need s bumper Also I added a little more weight to rear , and raised the front Hight a touch , sort of now mimics my sharks stance ..... Will keep updated on how it goes now. However. Tracks closed untill 8th jan and this might be just a open day as there's a race in Hereford ... Anyone on here going ? Any one on here race @ other clubs ? Any one share any tips and set ups Ps merry Christmas

Sandy Ravage
I have to say, top marks Pearce on the write up. But you seem to have missed out on the droop screws? Since day 1 of having my mini 8, I adjusted the droop screws as their set to flush on the arms and haven't had a single breakage since. Have you fettled with the droop screws and did you notice a difference?

Have you fettled with the droop screws and did you notice a difference? Good point lol Since owning the car I have had a fiddle , but to be honest I have noticed a difference as such purely as I have changed so much altogether This weeks plan at track / club is to run the car hopefully back in my favourite worn Yellow schumy pins , fiddle with front hinge pin deg and sort out the drop as most of the club will be at Hereford Fingers crossed relaxed atmosphere and more track time , so I can get perfect set up and drop included Currently I think it's , flush the 3/4 turn front And 1 full turn rear Not that I've noticed any difference as was just fiddeling lol
Pearce
Had a cracking day today with the car , must say ..... Firstly I had my 1/8 eu shell back that matches my mini 8 Will post a pic later Secondly only 1 breakage Thatis was left wish bone , this broke on the eyet for the hub carrier 2 min job Any how , this was in warm Up so no time lost After 3 good qualifiers 2nd in first , 1st in the 2nd up to 4 mins in then lost a place but came a happy second . And 3rd heat I came in 3rd Was really happy . For finals I swapped over To my dreaded rally blocks , my hate !!!!! I opted god yellows over whites as my whites are really tired ,,,,,,,, i was amazed in thd difference ..... They Improved my times and driving incredibly . So that was a result In regards to set up , pretty much the same, Droop was adjusted to flush rear at thd end and 2 full turns in on the front . 2nd in the final to may I add

Pearce
Today I've dropped the tension in rear again I've softens it again and lowered it I have also put up for sale 3 sets of tyres , 2 rally blocks including the set on the car and the pins , all new So look in sales section I've also been very lucky to inherit a set if alloy hexs of a race mate so I'm chuffed I'm loving the car at present at transformed it over last few weeks , I used to despise rally blocks and preached mini pins , I used heavy oil now im on thin etc , this cars really exciting and works so well with little mods ... Only thing I'm lacking is my straights top end on big tracks , it's So punchy around track , and rapid but needs a bit mote top end on occasions Hmmmmmmmm
