  1. I will place the link here to but explain the forum in detail it's been set up by a guy who is doing the build series magazine and is for the discussion of the 3d create and print magazine and 3d printer but has a section for 3d printing discussions that might appeal to those not building the magazine, I am the first and only member at the mo but it should get more members as time passes, I am asking those of you with experience in 3d printing to join and place info I.e guides to printing processes and materials that sort of thing just to get it going thanks Dan. http://3dcreateandprint.prophpbb.com
  2. So guys and girls not been on for a while as I have started work in the evening and I am prepping the house for our new arrival, anyhow with both cars out of action and no funds at the mo to sort them, I thought I would start building the 3d printer magazine build here's a pic of my progress. Also those of you who have 3d printers and knowledge of using them if you wouldn't mind signing up to the forum and placing some info on there that would be great thanks here's the link, its new at the mo and I'm the only member so it's like a ghost town lol. http://3dcreateandprint.prophpbb.com
  3. Well that's 3 room painted out in day and a half, next is 3 bedrooms and the hall stairs and landing, that's the problem with being a decorator the missus is alway cracking the whip, well at least it's only maggy and feature walls should be done in a few more days.

You're too good to her Shudson...harsh, Victorian parenting ensures they vanish as soon as they're able and never wish to return....

      Then the party starts :)

  7. Should i keep the carbon fiber chassis on the KM or change it?

How am I wrong? I said metal will bend and cf will snap. I said nothing about polymers.

You said you'd get metal... IF you were changing chassis and wanted the strongest for beating on, then polymer is the way to go... Ergo, you were wrong :)

I was only talking about cf and metal :) If I was talking about every material that would be suitable for making a chassis then I'd be here all day lol.

  8. Hopefully as I hadn't really thought about that till you mentioned it.
  9. I will be up on the Devon Cliffs haven site at the end of June.
  10. Not sure on that myself mate only just got it and am learning myself.
  11. Ok so I'm home from Wales with the baja and now is the time to strip, clean and rebuild it, as although it's complete it has it's issues, i.e. failed pull start, temperamental steering servo and a few odd nuts and bolts, bits will be up for sale as I go along but not sure on prices so I will be asking advice here. Anyhow looking forward to getting stuck in and I am aiming to have it ready by end of June ready for 7 days of pure fun/madness at Devon. A size comparison picture next to the FTX Sidewinder. Sorry about the quality it was taken with a kindle.
  12. Ok so I picked up the KM Baja pics of which were in my previous post, more to come, well it started first time and sounds really good and apart from a few odd bolts (replacement bolt kit recommendations needed) is in good condition, just now need some decent servos and new radio gear, the only thing that's gone wrong is the pull start now won't retract (any ideas tips would be helpful) it seems to be stuck, I ain't got any tools with me either so can't undo to look at it at the mo will nip off camp an get a multi-tool in the morning. P.S. any advice, tips, places to source parts, please let me know it will be much appreciated. Danny.
  13. I finally have a KM Baja in my possession... man these things are huge.

Lol I thought you already had one when we spoke about mine. Now I see that's a 1/10 buggy but it looks just like a 5b in that pic lol. Now you can put a real baja in your profile pic mayb put that 1/10 on the roof tho lol.
