That's probably exactly what it is..... It took me a few runs after I install my first pinion that I realize it was too tight I had to adjust the shims on the bottom of the frame because it wasn't lining up correctly the pinion against the gear.... That's probably exactly what the problem is I bet you...

oh no worries at all..i know it was a 16tooth pinion....from the BL 5 RC Madness Conversion Kit...that was appropriate for the 720kv Motor..

I'm using a 6s setup...I am tempted to go to 8s. I know a 12s setup is going to jerk those gears around and start stripping things and things get hot at that Voltage...But your Esc idea is great...

I can say this,,,it's much more bouncier and Fluffy....Seems to go over bumps more smoother.....I guess because it's a softer compound than the original X2 Tire set..And there's more Grip. So far so good. i gave it a Rough test on Pavement & Grass...Just be sure to Trim the Rear Panels for Clearance if you take on this project...

Hey Clive, just wanted to let you know that i installed Traxxas X-Maxx Wheels & Tires on my KM X2..Joel did it on his Losi 5T and i took up the Challenge...Came out pretty good..........

I took mine out too yesterday....Just Pavement Fun in Parking lot....Cop was there Watching in his Squat Car...He didn't bother me but i have to Wonder if it was Gas,,would he have said something since i was in a Residential Neighborhood near houses...

Very well impressed. Been Following this thread since it started. this is something i wanted to do as well. i end up getting the X2 Roller new but my next project may very well be a DBXL..Thanks for sharing

I would love to experience the power of a 8s but i'm so spoiled and satisfied on the 6s...LOL....i need someone to send me a gift 8s 6000mah pack....lol....i wonder if they even make them in a 1 pack instead of buying Two 4s....that would be interesting...but the motivation will certainly make me keep a 8s in the back of my wish list

Hey Tug, any New Photos or Videos in the Mix? i'm still with the same setup..Been lazy lately. Florida Sun really makes you Tired LOL.... I do have a question tho. is the X2 really that much less quality than the Losi 5T? i have not had a single issue with this Roller..Very very well built and Solid..Any Thoughts there ole chap?
