  1. You enjoy it now but just wait until you have it all tuned up nicely!!! My Mrs hates it when I have some free time and fuel, I always go for a blast over my local BMX track for an hour, just like this evening!!!
  2. I did this with my .21 hyper when it was new. Shame they don't put anything in the manual about needle settings and tuning, no wonder so many nitro first timers get all uptight from not being able to start or even run a nitro engine!!
  3. on your carb there are four settings: high speed needle low speed needle idle gap mid range fuel spray bar The top three (as shown in pic above) are the ONLY three you need to adjust AFTER bedding in the engine.
  4. set idle gap to 1mm as you look down into the carb air intake.
  5. hopefully pic is attached to explain the hsn and lsn!!! below the high speed needle is another screw on carb body DON'T touch this as it the fuel spray bar setting and touching this if you don't know what you are doing can get you in serious trouble!!
  6. my manual didn't say anything about the factory needles settings, just incase yours is the same I set my lsn at 3.5 turns out from closed and the hsn I set to 4 turns out from closed.
  7. just take ya time bedding the engine in!! Oh and make sure the needle settings are correct from factory before it gets it first start up or you kill engine in no time!!
  8. I could be wrong but I think you will find it is the same car and engine, the only difference is that the one you have ordered has a turbo style glow plug rather than the standard type glow plug as in the other.
  9. They also do the same when there is inadequate pressure in in fuel tank!! Hence why I said to replace the tape joining the pipe and manifold together!! Funny really tiny little things like that can cause havoc with nitro engine running!
  10. reset the throttle linkage on servo to neutral, replace the tape on exhaust joiner with a silicone joiner as tape will melt and cause low back pressure to fuel tank resulting in lean fuel mixture. Also looking at engine pic it looks like the LSN is screwed in rather lean.
  11. hyper 7 with the .21 engine, built like a brick **** house!!! I got one and bash it HARD and so far cant break it!!! Which ever car you decide on just make sure you take plenty of time bedding the engine in, you be glad you did!!
  12. Gave the hyper7 a good long hard bashing over at the BMX track, no breakages actually no issues at all!!! Just left with a rather dusty car after an hour non stop bashing!!!! Mates savage didn't bear so well lol to be truthful lol!!!!!
  13. I have the hyper .21 tq2, it certainly well built!!! Have given it some serious punishment over the BMX track where I live and it's never broke or failed YET!! Only items I have changed or upgraded so far are the tyres and put in a 6v 1800mah hump pack. Although I am thinking on changing air filter as standard item seems to catch on brake lever alot.
