  1. Yup that's solved the problem! Always happy when it's a free fix
  2. So I flip the front and rear diffs 180 degrees and problem solved? I'm so retarded
  3. Hi, I recently striped down my car includings diffs. Re built it all and took it out today to find the car goes in reverse! I have no gearing on the car and have put everything back like normal. Did I rebuild the central diff wrongly as I can't think of what the problem is. Any suggestions?
  4. Hello all, I have a hyper 7 Mach 28 and I love going to bmx tracks and bashing it about. Main problem (had others but theyve been cheap fixes) are the stock shocks as I'm always bottoming out on jumps. I have looked at alternative shocks, hobao and hong nor ones look ok but are pricey! I have been looking on eBay and there's been a few auctions for some hobao hyper star 20mm big bore shocks front and rear for approx
  5. I went to the stockwood track last week and it's wicked fun! It has changed since the photo on google earth was taken and is better than it looks. Some good jumps, better than keynsham, I'd say the only downer would be there's no large scale circular track to race ppl on. There is a small track at the bottom which is fun but the jumps are not so good! Wicked sweeping corners there too! I may now be able to come to keynsham on 22nd. J
  6. Cheers for the advice, engine is basically new so clutch shoes shouldnt be a problem for now so will look to upgrade just the clutch bell. This is probably the one i'll get, H84056 (think it comes with bearings but correct me if im wrong) When you refer to remeshing the clutch bell to the diff is that simply lining it all up so cogs opeprate smoothly? Do i just adjust the position of the engine or diff to make sure it all lines up or it there more to it than that? James
  7. Thanks for the advice Smoothybb, been looking at some vids about changing the clutch bell and wondered if you have to change the clutch shoes also. They look like a pain in the ass and hope i can just screw a new clutch bell on top of the existing clutch shoes. Had a look at my hyper and its got 13T which seems quite low. loads of power and wheel spins which could be used for more speed. i probs wont go as high as a 17T as im not running electric, maybe a 15T or 16T as you suggested. Totally agree with replacing parts as i break them, will sort the batteries out and new clutch bell and maybe some big bors but will bash until i crash for now! BTW those bumpers in the post above look SOLID, may have to get those too
  8. Heres that strap i want! http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/cml_product.php?menu=rc_cars&productId=0000000205 The car comes with the changable plastic support to secure it onto and think this will solve all problems.
  9. Thanks for the advice, if i get a battery on its own then ill have to get a sepreate charger right? like the look of the combo but out of stock..
  10. Hello, Can anyone tell me which rechargable battery pack to buy for my hyper 7 as im not sure of the voltage or what fits with the plastic bracket on the car? I have seen these rubber bands that secure tightly tio the plastic mount and will get one of those. Also will i need to by a new power switch so i can charge battery without unpluggin it from car? The stock pack is rubbish and needs replacing asap.
  11. Yeah running mainly off road but with some speed too. Do you know what the stock clutch bell is for the .28 engine? is it a 16t?
  12. So how did you get on? Did the .28 engine run ok with a 17t or should i look for a 16t clutch bell? James
  13. I just bought a hyper 7 mach 28, so pls add me to the owers club. Been hearing bad things about mach .28 engine but so far so good, been breaking it in slowly and now ready to tune engine for peak performance. I will keep everyone posted on how thigs progress. Chose this buggy one for the price, 2 for the updated 2012 edition as all other hypers seem to be unchanged for last 4 years (probably marketing blurb lol) and 3 for the engine as previously had .21 and fancied something a bit quicker off the line. As for upgrades what do people tend to go for? As a must i need to waterproof the batteries on the car, Hobao why did you not design this into your car as this is stupid!! (had a Kyosho inferno 7 years ago and waterproofing comes as stock) Can anyone suggest a good battery pack they use for my upgrade? Im thinking bigger shocks or will new stiffer springs and shock oil do the same job? Also seen performance exhausts but people been reporting problems with engines overheating sow ill probably leave this. Some have electirc starter motors but am happy with the blisters for now lol One other upgrade i would like to do is change the gear ratios from the engine so pehaps slightly less acceleration (shouldnt be a problem with .28) but a higher top speed :-) has anyone else done this and if so whaich parts to get? Think thats about it, wil get some pics up soon but at present looks like the one on the website! James
  14. Hey all, Cheers for the help and tips! Tried the electrics one last time before contacting model sport and they're working fine today. Guess must have been some water getting somewhere it shouldn't! Best crack on with the break in process.
