  1. Hi All,

I have been happy bashing my Hyper 7 TQ sport with some friends and there cars and did a sweet jump and bent my front left shock which is now leaking. I'm not too bothered as I expect to replace parts as needed.

Could any of you reccomend what I should replace it with and/or is it better to replace the full set front and rear with better ones if I have to buy a set. So if it cost me

  2. Sounds as though you are talking toe in and toe out. Usually the front of the rear wheels with an off road car point slightly inwards towards each other. This helps to get the traction to move the thing forward as quickly as possible. On the front wheels you often find a little toe out with off road cars. This means the front of the wheels will be pointing outward very slightly. Toe out on the front wheels means the initial turn in is much sharper whereas toe in means better high speed stability but a poorer initial turn in. If the angle of toe is different from say the left to right wheel on the front end it will simply result in the car pulling to the side of whichever has the most outward toe.

Appriciate your answers guys, but I was refereing to the two front wheels not the rear..

If one is adjusted straight the other is not inline and the steering trim is fully to the right and the car steers to the left.

    :(

  3. With your steering you should have adjustable front turnbuckles. You can adjust them to make sure they are the same length, but if you have used your trim to it's full extent then it's more likely that the arm on your servo isn't positioned correctly. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the servo itself. Just turn your radio and car electrics on, pop the servo arm off, adjust the front wheels so they are pointing forwards and pop the servo arm back on. It must be way off if you can't get it back using your trim.

    Good tip there thanks.

I have the same problem, trim is all the way too the right and it keeps goning slightly left so I'll follow your advice. Another question. One of the wheels is slightly off as well, as in they dont both line up is that right? How do I correct it if it isn't?

    :helpsmilie:

    Thanks

P.S. Sorry to hijack the thread

  4. If the screw keeps coming out then I would have thought its because its not got a good fit anymore. So yes I think with that so far I would certainly look at replacing it.

I would gather that most air filters would be fine. in the case of the Hyper 7 they would need to be the open type and not fully covered.

I'm sure someone will give us a few options, I just wanted to have some spares so that if I'm out on a bash and the filter becomes too bogged down I can change it and carry on.

Cheers Langy, you would have thought straight out of the box there wouldn't be an issue with the srews or filter. Guess I'll look fo a new one.

Question: In stead of another Hyper 7 one is there a better one I should get???

    Thanks :D

  5. Hi there,

I'm in Telford, there is a shop in Donnington called Sanda games, he does various RC stuff and there is also one on Oakengates high street (Used to be 2 a month ago)

Me and a few guys just do some odd bashing at the local parks or BMX tracks. I'm fairly new to all this also but feel free to give me a shout.

    ;)

  6. It all takes time Mike. I know what its like as I've only had the car a week and you just want to get out there and play.

I've now made my HSN a bit richer and the LSN a bit leaner as my engine was hitting about 250 F and smoking more at the low end.

Now when the car races past me a full pelt there is a nice thin smoke trail and it really does sound like that F1 sound. May need to be a little more richer.

Also found that running around a lot at full pelt the fuel soon dissapears.

    Langy

I got mine a week ago as well, my first RC Car, had similar problems, but with a little help seems fine, really wont move to start with and bags of smoke, but will read the stikies to sort that out.

You are right, fuel disapears rather quick on these!

    :D
