Not yet, I've emailed HPI just to see if new one coming out soon. Otherwise will get it at end of month.

  2. Congrats on the win and welcome!
  3. With the release of the HPI Baja 5SC RTR Truck 2013: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-baja-5sc-rtr-truck-2013-black-/rc-car-products/375234 what do you think the chances are of a new 2013 version of the HPI Super 5SC: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hpi-super-5sc-flux/rc-car-categories/18/9900/990010&ChassisID=956 ??? I am planning to get the latter at the end of the month, but would hold out longer if a new one is coming!!
  4. I hear the proline power shocks getting great praise by people having used a variety of different ones! I'm getting some new shocks for my slash and will go proline too.
  5. Almost bought Slash 4x4 Ultimate last week but decided to wait a couple of weeks. No, it looks like I'm getting the Super 5SC Flux!

Awesome car. Forget about running it without a new servo though! It will kill the servo in a few hours.

Your joking! Under the HPI warranty though for a quick replacement I take it?

And they'll send you the same one again mate. It's really under powered and will die over and over. Avoid disapointment on your first weekend with it! A 20kg servo is enough but you'll also need a BEC or a power cap to power it!

  6. Dude, this is a duplicate of: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/171451-shock-oil-queries/ I'm following the other as I want to know the same thing, harder for people if more than one thread on the same q's.
  7. I am looking at the Proline Power Stroke shocks as my Slash 4x4 ones on front are a little bent formt his weekends bashing! http://www.modelsport.co.uk/pro-line-power-stroke-shocks-front/rc-car-products/38919 What oil are you using with them and how often, if at all are you changing the oil?
  8. I may need a new shell soon for the Slash - bit more duct tape on the inside for now! :)

  9. Good to see more form West Sussex.
  10. Awesome, great tip - thanks. I love that shell shape so tempted to get it for myself.
  11. Looks like I'm better off going for the Ultimate version: MODEL 6807L: Slash 4X4 Ultimate, Fully assembled, Ready-To-Race
  12. http://www.modelsport.co.uk/traxxas-slash-4x4-platinum/rc-car-categories/60/9900/990010&ChassisID=1038 - got to wait 2 weeks! Looks like I need to do the bearing adapter even on this one!!
  13. I'm thinking of using in mainly on grass for racing around, bit of tarmac use. The LCG chassis will help with the handling and won't have to worry about tree stumps like Noj! My other Slash can be used for the harder bashing with the undertray etc.
  14. Official: I'm getting a Slash 4x4 LCG version!

      Noj

They are swift and handle very, very well indeed. Unlike tree stumps. They just kill lcg chassis'

Looking fwd to it, standard 4x4 one for bashing, this more for racing!!

    4. Noj

      Noj

Certainly handles flatter, you can dance them on tarmac very easily!

  15. Its been decided! I'm getting a Slash 4x4 LCG. Now, anyone selling one? Thought not, it will be a roller most prob.
  16. Awesome shell mate, is it still white? . What cutters did you use for the shell? When I did my proline undertray it was a nightmare!
  17. My son got othe Turnigy Trooper SCT 4x4 and its great for the price - problem is that its quite weak compared to a slash and while you can also get ACME parts, you pay more that if you got them from Hobbyking and waiting for some parts can be a pain - 4 weeks for latest. It's because the parts can break easily the run out quick, but you can't argue for the price, just something to be aware of.
  18. I have a spare cash box - great idea.
  19. Let us know if you find an ammo box online. I got the large Lipo sack from MS and medium from HK, both equal quality.
  20. I love the opinions. It's what stopped me getting an erevo last August and next I knew I had the slash 4x4 and have loved every minute of it, doing some basic and interesting upgrades to try stuff out! I keep thinking go big, but then more practically, which is why I've changed from your previous suggestion which I loved, back to another slash. I like the TQi and telemetry gimmick - did you go roller or full version?
  21. OK, so decided not to go for the flux 5sc and keep to 1/10 SC trucks. Got the Slash 4x4 with several upgrades to it (except esc and motor). http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/151485-didskis-slash-4x4-plus-upgrades/ Thinking of getting another slash though now so : a) I can race with my 2 sons (aged 8 and 5). 5 year old has Turnigy Trooper SCT 4x4. have a spare truck for when one of others is out of service Got
  22. May just buy another slash 4x4 with TQi! :)
