  1. It's also a prototype, so no point in judging hte quality of hte plastic until they have a retail item for us to look at.

    Well said!

As its a prototype the parts quality will be different than full scale production parts. you can tell the plastics on this one are prototype, so no need to knock it until its out for retail purchase...

  2. i like mine strong with just the tiniest splash of milk and 2 sugars. what really annoys me is when people put the milk in before the water, especially when its full fat milk. the tea bag cant brew with the milk because the fat molecules in the milk are bigger than the holes in the teabag and block the bag (fact) so whats the point in makin a cup of tea if your just gonna ruin the job by blockin the bag up,

  3. depends what you want to 'hop up'

i hopped my original Monster GT up with everything all blue alloy....biggest mistake i ever made to be honest. if you have a crash, then the arms will rip the mount from the chassis and you may need to buy a new chassis like i did. not only that, but it makes the truck heavier and slower. mine is back to stock parts now, and to be honest, ive never broken a stock arm etc since ive had it.

  4. So while I understand your anger at Modelsport, they aren't the ones to point the finger at. I would personally call up Mtroniks!

Sorry, but any retailer that sells items, also has to honour the warranty. its there responsibility as a seller. so if Modelsport have to take a hit and pay for a replacement out of there own pocket, then so be it. it will then be upto them to pressure Mtronics to either improve there customer service policy / warranty policy, or dont bother using them any more..simple really..

  5. um, you cant make it go into reverse mate!! its a mini truggy, they have a centre diff, you need a gearbox to make it go into reverse, and thats monster truck territory. pushing the throttle forward will only apply the brakes. Try a McCoy MC9 plug, they work well in them. plus yours is still in need of breaking in, so it will run rich anyway. after a few more tanks, start leaning the engine in a bit more every tank. do some half throttle blips, building up to full throttle short bursts. dont forget, you cant tune a cold engine. what may seem rich when its cold, will probably be leaner when its upto working temperature.. :good:

  6. your engines havnt died mate, there just getting stuck at top dead centre ( TDC ) All new engines will do this as there is so much mechanical pinch when there new. by running them in, you help loosen this and makes the engine run properly and at its best. whenever your engine stops, make sure the piston is at BDC...bottom dead centre, at the bottom of the stroke. do this by turning the flywheel whilst the engine is still warm. you may have to use upto a gallon of fuel in total to break it in, so be patient.

  7. most half decent engines have heat sinks designed to cool the engine in the most efficient way possible. Ones like that have the princible "more fins= more surface area better cooling"

weather or not they work like that and make a difference is questionable.

id stick with the stock one unless its broken or something.. bling and shiney turd doesnt make cars any quicker... just heavier and slower ^_^ dont see hamilton with nice shiney hop ups do we

Hamiltons car has parts on it that are made lighter, stronger and more efficient than normal parts, a bit like the Nova cooling head........... :whistling:

  8. Thanks for the quick reply Smoothy :good: Would an upgraded servo also cut down on the slight servo twitching we currently get or is that a transmitter/receiver issue?

    Thanks again

    Paul

thats metal / radio interfearance. do you have 2.4Ghz radio or standard 27Mhz? 27Mhz will cause this more, 2.4Ghz will reduce this, if not eliminate it.

  9. Amazingly British gas has been the best deal going for us for the past 5 years - duel fuel gas/electric, just gets cheaper every year!

you not heard about there 10% gas hike about to come in then?

all suppliers will follow suit. scottish and southern have just announced a hike in gas prices, thats who i am with....stay clear of them, had nothing but trouble with them.... :o

  10. running a .25 at a local race meet isnt illegal. plenty of people run a .25 and a .28 in the winter for a start, this is due to the heavier, muddy conditions and the extra torque needed etc....a national race meet however, then yes, it would be illegal... :good:
