Hey all,
I'm looking to rebuild the diff's in my brushless Lightning Stadium as the rear decided to disintegrate last week! I just don't have a clue about diff oil really and wanted to know if there is a set way to work out what you might need?
Thanks
-
Well she works! Got my lipo and everything at the weekend and managed to get a few runs. And oh my got its fast! Front wheels are a nightmare to keep on the ground, but before i could get any pictures or videos the rear diff gave up and broke in to pieces! My fault for not rebuilding them properly before I ran it

Progress has been made! Soldered up the motor and esc and everything wired. Just need the lipo to arrive tomorrow so I can see which side of the bullet connectors to solder. Also got inpatient and ordered a 15 tooth pinion (sorry smithy!)
She'll be a runner soon!

Okay cool, I'll look into it a little more and let you know

Been looking for one of these but can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I could get one? Wanted to avoid making one as my soldering skills aren't the best! Thanks
-
Okay thanks, which ones would you want to sell and for how much?
-
Thanks, where did you get yours from? With the hpi ones being about
-
Nice! any pics? Also what gearing did you run? Trying to decide on a good pinion to start with
-
More than okay mate, just got the same Esc for my truggy project and they get very good reviews for their price, also got a tenshock motor too which seem very good. Funshobby are a great company, i recieved my order last week from Hong Kong overnight! They use DHL for the free shipping and mark the price down so you don't pay import tax

Pinions are expensive! What would be the best size to start with for a good torque/power balance and temps?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has a link to some good foam padding for a losi eight battery tray?
Thanks
-
Thanks guys got a few for bits to spend money on before I order but good to know what I need!
Got some 5.5mm bullet connectors on the way to replace the smaller bullets and cheap deans type connectors on the esc, so will have to attempt some soldering!

Cheers

Sorry to hijack but where's the best place to buy connectors?

Probably time to start thinking about batteries, decided on 5s for some reason, but don't really have a clue on what to look for with lipos.
Would something like this do the job? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=32196

Got some more interesting goodies in the post today!
More than impressed with the service from funshobby and DHL considering it was only dispatched yesterday!
Sorry about the sideways picture

Ordered from funshobby 2 days ago and this is the delivery I got free http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking.shtml?AWB=7779399375 crazy!
-
I Second funshobby, if you select free shipping they still use DHL which is estimated at 5-7 days delivery I believe

Thanks for the replies, going in to my Lightning stadium pro conversion. Probably going to start on 5s but good to know that it can handle 6
Also I don't know to much about the whole KV stuff, I just assumed 2200kv would be best, am I wrong?

Hey guys, I know I have already asked this in my other thread but didn't get a response.
Looking to order the said motor tomorrow but just want to double check it will work fine on 5/6s?
And if it's a wise choice for the price range? Will be ordering as a combo with the Xerun 150a esc but obviously if there's a better motor out there for the same price I would like to know.
Thanks!

Okay thanks, do you have a link as I haven't been able to find one on there.

Hey all,
As I have said in the title really I'm after a power lead for my charger. I have been using a small AC adaptor in the past to charge the small battery for my RC plane but I don't think it's going to supply enough power when Charging big 5/6s lipos. Anyone else got this charger and know a place to get right one?
Thanks

Side skirts and radio box arrived yesterday.
Though i'm having second thoughts about the radio box. I think my steering servo is slightly bigger than the standard one on the flux and getting the steering linkage set up properly may turn out to be a bit of a pain.
The other option I guess is to chop off the servo part of the radio box and stick the box to the top of the old servo mount

Well that gives me an idea of how they work, but as I can't afford to be buying hundreds of different thickness oils at the moment I'm looking for just a reccomendation of a good set up to start with so it at least runs again.
Thanks
