My one's bitten the dust.
Won't bind to the transmitter and shows only 1 light on the X4. If it does bind (very rare) it runs for all of 5-10 seconds then switches back to one-light-no-go mode.
Trouble is I can't find any info anywhere about what the lights mean, one light must mean something... just hoping it mean something repairable.

Just pulled these off the youtube video:
Don't work with my iPhone because of the update why wasn't I warned and? why cant I turn the car off ?Unfortunately some of the early batches went? out without the IOS5 information sticker so apologies if this is the case for you. A free replacement dongle can be ordered from wowstuff.co.uk where you can also contact us with any product issues you may be experiencing. Thanks for your understanding.Might be worth checking.

BoltMeUp (I've used these guys plenty of times before) do them but only in packs of 200, you could always ring/email them to see if they'll do a pack of ten or something? They do for everything else...

Well I like the single wheeled HPI wheelie bar... but I'm also fond of the TBR two-wheeled bumper/wheelie bar combination... but which one is better?
There's only one way to find out...

Something vaguely similar for free: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/908/Re-Volt.html

Loving the Ansmann wheel/tyre combo, got the same set on my SC10.

Took me less than five minutes.

Well if you want to try I used a sachet of Dylon Rosewood into about 2ltrs of water, a good dollop of salt (although I'm not convinced it's required for doing wheels), and left it on the hob warming it up every now and again for quite a few hours. You might need a very big pan to do a full set of Baja wheels in one go though.
Best thing to use is RIT dye, you can buy it on ebay for a few quid and it's never let me down for doing RC stuff. Quite like the wheels, real men wear pink and all that! I just bought the stock wheels when I swapped tyres... starting to regret that now!
I use TF2 lube its got teflon in it which helps stop the dreaded rust and its only a few quid i found it much better than WD40 and stays on longer
I grabbed a can of that months ago in a pound shop of all places! As said, it's brilliant stuff. Chain of lubricants now goes TF2 > GT85 > WD40

Still waiting for mine. The tracking is useless, suggests they haven't moved for about 10 days.
Screws not fitting isn't a good sign.
I've ordered some longer stainless steel ones for the meantime, not exactly ideal but there's nothing else out there at the moment...

It was Savage XS day today
Fitted my new warranty replacement 'Vapor Pro' (lives up to its name!) ESC into the Savage XS and tested it around the garden.
Soldered Deans connectors onto 3 packs of Turnigy 5000 nano-tech 35-70c batteries (they can just about squeeze into the Savage XS battery compartment!)
Fitted ground assault tyres all around so it might get some traction!
Washed and furniture polished the body shell.
... that's about it.

Hello again, just thought I'd post another update. I got a replacement ESC from HPI yesterday, as a result the car has been reassembled and all is working perfectly. SC8 is still on order though, just in case.
Also tried to fit the T-Bone Racing front and rear bumpers........ the screws aren't long enough!

that doesn't look cheap
thats what i was thinking usb 3.0 and a metal case
It costs about

Well I've ordered one just to be safe, I'll probably ebay the Vapor when I get it back, otherwise it'll just end up rotting in a draw somewhere...

I really like the look of this kit not the price as in the UK its

That sucks. But at least HPI don't seem to be being awkward with replacing the ESC. How did you run it (2S, 3S?), and what happened? How long did it take to blow up?
I'm using a Zippy Flightmax 4000mah 30c 2s lipo.
This would have been the third run, tested it out in the kitchen and it made all the right noises but the motor didn't go, unplugged and tried again and there was no beeps but when I applied throttle it blipped forward briefly and then nothing.
I spoke to James at HPI and he seemed to think the motor was at fault as apparently they make the beeps (?) needless to say motor and ESC are now on there way to HPI.
I'm just wonde3ring where to go now, do I get it back and try again or buy a cheap system and ebay the HPI setup?
-
Just thought I chime in to say I got one a couple of months ago, have only taken it out once (properly) and the ESC is headed back to HPI... what joy.
Edit: I meant 'once properly', other times it's just been blasting around out the front of the house or around the back garden.

That's brilliant, I imagine it's a bugger to fly though!
Part 2 has more about it and also how they land it:

Whatever it is, it'll be underwhelming.
I'd say it'll be something to compete with the HPI Apache or Axial Exo, especially as they sponsor a super buggy in the TORC series.

Glad you got it sorted. For the record, milk expands LESS when frozen (9% for milk vs 11% for water) that's why it's used as there's less chance of it ripping open a seam on the pipe.

Chassis Brace: http://www.innovativ...f9c0332962007ef
As for the exhaust, fill it with water and freeze it, but check every hour or so as you don't want to split it open.
Toughest RTR?, Poll now added everyone please vote.
