  1. It only just touches at the end of travel and I haven't noticed any lack of steering at all. A lengthened arm would definitely cause issues with the standard servo.

Took it for a blast at the park today, bit wet so proper roosters from the wheels. So much fun...the cleaning after not so much!

How's the heat with the 15T? Everything still cool?

  2. Not trying to sway you one way or the other as I dont own an Outlaw, but we do own both an FTX Carnage (same range as Outlaw) and a DR8.  In my opinion there is a noticeable difference in quality between the Carnage and DR8, the Carnage is obviously a cheaper build and more fragile compared to the DR8 which is built like a tank.
That said the Carnage is cheap as chips to repair and pretty easy to work.
Both have good points and bad, both are fun to drive!

  3. If it helps the DR8 is £322 at appliance electronics with cyber5 voucher code. Thats where I got mine. Plus 60 quid for 2x 3S lipos on amazon, plus charger. Certainly cheaper than 500.

I believe it can be run on 4S too so 2x 2S lipos are cheaper still.

  4. Sorry ignore my post, just spoke with their tech support and its a dead fan.

I got straight through on the phone to the CML tech support, quick convo, emailed them the invoice - 20mins later they email to say a new fan is in the post.

Can't get better service than that!

Edit: New fan arrived already, 20hrs after calling their tech support. Amazing.  Man this car is fast....

  5. While waiting for the diff oil to arrive I thought I would give the suspension a once over. Always seemed like a bit of a black art to me before. Did a bit of research (glad I found this forum its awesome) and adjusted the toe and camber all round also put some shims behind the wheel hubs.  The difference is incredible, it actually does what I want now, the oversteer is much more controllable 😀

Still going to play with the diff oil I think, just to learn the effect before getting a bigger car!

  6. Hi Folks,

I'm looking for some diff advice for my Hobbyking Rattler.  It's a 1/8 (well more like 1/9 really) buggy with front/rear diffs, no centre.

Currently it only has stock grease in the diffs and is very tail happy on loose dirt where I mostly run it - I'm considering switching to oil but a bit confused on the weights.  Most of the info I can find is based on having a centre diff too.

Would like a 40/60 ish split front/rear if possible, can anyone advise on oil weight?

    Thanks
    Dave
