I have these on mine now: https://www.louiserc.eu/1-10-Scale/1-10-Maxx-c-2023/Louise-RC-MFT-MT-PIONEER-Maxx-Tire-Set-Mounted-Sport-Black-3.8-Bead-Lock-Wheels-1-2-Offset-Hex-17mm-L-T3329SB/
Awesome wheels/tyres. Out of stock at the moment though so not sure I was much help 😆

Had a few races down the field today - out of 6 cars only one survived the day uninjured 🤣 Everything from lost wheel nuts, broken hinge pin holder's, stripped pinions, broken bumpers.
Absolute chaos but A lot of fun had by all!!!

Ah thanks, like these? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/fastrax-17-x-125mm-serrated-wheel-nuts-17mm-blue-4--
I did wonder what the 1mm vs 1.25mm bit meant.

Hi folks,
I have some fastrax 15mm extenders on my dr8: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/fastrax-18th-extension-hub-adaptors-15mm-369520
Today I lost a wheel nut (and had to chase after a rogue wheel!!). My original DR8 wheel nuts don't seem to be the same thread as the fastrax extenders.
I'm reluctant to buy more nuts without knowing if they fit, and cant find any info on the fastrax regarding thread anywhere, can anyone advise which spare nuts will fit the extenders?
Cheers in advance.

I doubt the led bars take much current at all, should be fine I reckon.

My mind instantly went to the national lampoon's station wagon when I saw that lol.
With the price of wrap on ebay I might even try it 🤣

They are 137x70, similar diameter but wider than stock DR8 tyres.
I'm hoping they fit and work ok - bit cheaper than the belted Badlands.

Ouch what happened? Motor get too hot with the bigger wheels?
My new wheels should arrive this week - can't wait to try them out.

Has anyone tried the 3.8" belted badlands?
I'm torn between the 2.8 and 3.8 - a lot of money to spend without knowing the 3.8 will fit. I do have 15mm extenders but is that enough?
EDIT: Ignore this question - after measuring it up I realised the 3.8" was a daft idea. Decided Proline didn't quite do what I wanted so I have some Louise wheels on the way!

Got the DR8 out this morning to play in a dusty field. So much fun with this thing and the sound it makes is so visceral!
This is my first car with pillow balls, is it normal for them to slacken off sometimes? Happened today when I noticed camber was wafty one side and the top or bottom had wound out quite a bit.
Think I have had this once before when I first got it. Not a biggie but not sure if I am missing something?
Not had any issues with mine. Though I tend to go round the car periodically and tighten stuff up so maybe thats why.

I would undo the servo horn and check the mechanism moves freely in both directions, no binding or stiff action.
I usually give mine a spray with gt85 after a wet run.

Replaced the servo with a 25kg DS3225 but still have the same issue the wheels are hardly turning.
I haven't used the car for a while, last used was on grass and I didn't bother cleaning it, could something within the steering/wheels, hub, knuckle etc be seized?
Thoughts would be appreciated
Have you checked the servo saver? Pointedscarab had a similar issue on page 2 of this thread - rebuilt the servo saver and all good.

These guys love the DR8. They also got these 3D printed "mud" flaps for the rear suspension lower arms that stop grass from getting wrapped round the dog bones
Love that channel. If I didn't live so far away I would pop along and join the races.

Nice 👌
Every time you post a pic I find myself on the modelsport website looking at proline wheels 🤣

His review cracked me up. Surely he had a prototype? A car made of wood and 3d parts for 1.4k..

Can anyone recommend a replacement servo? Looking for something faster and stronger than stock.

After several speed runs on 6s, large open grass one off the tyres has split, exposing the insulation, managed to put it all back in with no issue thereafter. Would it help if i glue the tyre on the rim?
More urgently, twice fitted a new esc fan and both have failed, either debri has got in or something causing the blade to break. Last ran the car without the esc fan the heatsink got pretty hot!
Any recommendations for a durable alternative?
And finally the stock pinion failed on me lost some of the teeth sheered 😞is this to be expected? Given that i have been doing long continuous speed runs?
I have gone through 2 dead fans so far, running a Centro aluminium fan now which seems to be holding up fine.
Not had any issues with the stock pinion yet

Just taken the DR8 for its first bash since changing the diff oil. So glad I did it - much better power delivery and handling. Makes a huge difference.
Found all 3 diffs were pretty much empty when I opened them up. Also found I needed new seals - they only come in a pack with the casing though, bit of a waste.
