  1. Nice one thanks for the reply mate.

    I read aswell that some of the Hyper 8 parts are compatible too. Would that include the towers? Couple going cheap on ebay at the moment.

    The 8 shocks are smaller, so when I had an 8 tower on the back of my VSE, it preloaded the shocks and the chassis wouldn’t bottom out. It worked okay but the even with the standard springs it was a LOT stiffer.

  2. Don't care about the text. It's made to spring a little on impact instead of bending.
     These are made on a 100 thousand pound machine.
    There are no tougher braces in existence. I'm just wondering if they are needed with my 7075 chassis.

    Received my braces. Little works of art, however, just be aware that due to the machining, you will need shorter screws to attach them to the chassis, as (I’m guessing) due to the lower profile design, the original screws will bottom out in the brace before they’re tight5aff46425f8c023505b47aa0dbc92fdf.jpg

    Bought for an Thunder Tiger MTA4 project truck that I ended up selling- shocks are in very good condition, all true shafts, no leaks and original boots. 3 of the boots (one bypass shock, two damper shocks) have started to split.

  4. Hi all,

    I’m sure this has been debated Many times.

    ....what would your recommendations be on diff oils for the Hobao Hyper VSe please?

    i know I don’t want the fronts ballooning so I always go with 500k in centre.

    ...should I go with 7k in front and 5k in rear?

    I won’t be racing just general bashing in park.

    Thanks

    Sounds like a good start[emoji1474]

  5. No i havent got either. Do u know what size motor fan i should get? Its got the stock motor in it? Also bit of weird question does anyone know what size heat shrink i need for overlander batteries using dean connector ??

    There’s loads of fans and heat sinks on eBay and in various model shops, like this;

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401215641099.

    Cut some holes in your body too- it’s so hot outside atm that it probably needs some airflow.

    As for battery heat shrink, measure the circumference of the battery and get some heat shrink 5-10mm bigger.

    Just trial and error, if the batteries are getting so hot that they are melting the heat shrink should tell you something about the way the buggy is running, or the way you’re using it.

  6. Im running 2x 2s overlander 60c 7600mah , with 19 pinion on golf courses. Im thinking maybe cos the weather is really hot at the moment thats why. Also i dont let it cool down in between runs. Im also finding the connectors are falling out aswell which is really annoying

    Motor fan and/or heatsink? That is a HUGE battery dude, probably very heavy, which won’t help.

  7. Hello guys just wondering what battery connectors do you guys use ?? I melted a deans connector before just wondering if thers any better connecters out ther ?

    Ec5 or Xt90 are popular.

    But if you’re melting Deans then you’re either;

    a) you’re overgeared, or not geared for the terrain you’re running on, or running on the wrong terrain- such as long grass

    B) something in the drivetrain is binding

    c) you’re not letting the buggy cool down between runs- have you cut any cooling holes in the body?

    d) you’re using the throttle/brake like an on/off switch.

    I’ve run Deans on every plane, heli and car I’ve had in the last 15 years and never had an issue.

    Hi

    2-2s overlander 55c 5300 fit perfect so get the size offline then you can search for your choice of 2s lipo.

    2-3s nanotech 5000 you have to cut the battery tray & extend it at the rear so the ESC can fit along with the lipos.

    You can go 4s bricks as well just check the sizes.

    For 5s & 6s you have to modify the tray
