Looks fun..!!!
Still not built mine yet, had it since Oct '21 🤪
I eventually started to build mine yesterday after about similar time😂. I still haven't decided between 2s or 3s battery yet though.

If you've been looking at flysky they have the GT5 which is (confusingly given the model name) a 6 channel transmitter. I've got one and have been pretty happy with it:
This is exactly what I went for. I have asked for this as my bday present, so my Mrs has no choice😁

This is exactly the info I was waiting for. 👍

Lights can plus straight into the bat/aux input, on the receiver. So, they don't take up a channel. This is what I've done.
However, this is only if you wish them to be always on (unless you unplug, of course). If you want it transmitter-selectable, you'll need another channel.
Thank you. I will need more channels then as I want to be able to switch them on and off

If anyone could suggest a decent 4 channel transmitter that doesn't brake the bank that will be great. I was hoping for flysky but I can only see 3 channel options unfortunately... Or is it possible to connect lights without using separate channel? I'm hopeless with electronics.

Two waterproof servos just ordered from Banggood. They had great reviews so hopefully they will be fine. Motor wise I went for this

Bashing Brian linked to a Holmes Hobby's motor earlier in this thread
Thank you, I've seen it now. After rethinking and probably over thinking I will stay with 2s battery for this truck so I can have interchangeable batteriers between Blazer and my Jeep which runs on 2s now.

Didn't even started yet as I'm entangled with another build which takes forever. I'm on the look up for motor now and can't find 20T so will most likely go for something like 17T. I just need to find a compromise between speed and torque.

I bought an Injora hard body for Jeep Wrangler and it was great. Although I eventually got it from Ebay but it was shipped from China anyway. Really good quality

It’s a standard size servo the shifting mechanism is real nice so you don’t need something fancy . I used a basic HPI waterproof job 👍
Thank you. This is great news. I thought that it would be something smaller but in that case it means one headache less😉

Any ideas for micro servo for the gearbox? I can't find anything specific at the moment

I'd suggest something like this... Great value motor with awesome performance, pair it with a Hobbywing 1080 esc 👍🏼

It will definitely be 1080 Hobbywing ESC but probably different motor... Will see

Thanks everyone! I have some ideas now. I will have a long think before buying a motor but at least I know which direction I'm going now👍

Do you have a speed in mind that you feel it needs to be at ?
Will you be running 2s or3s?
I just want it to be able to do a similar speed as TRX 4 on high gear. Most likely will aim for 3s

I haven’t had the chance to run mine yet but a 27t motor should give you decent speed for a crawler in second gear .
Thanks. I just don't know how slow is first gear there or how big is the difference between first and second. There are lots of videos on yt but no one really says what motor they're using apart from RC Girl using brushless combo on hers, but this is way beyond my budget🤣

Hi all Gmade Buffalo owners. I just purchased a kit so hopefully will be starting it next week. I'm just having a think about appropriate motor as I want to use this 2 speed gearbox ability to go fast sometimes. What are you guys using for yours? I'm just worried that 27T would a little bit to slow... Any suggestions?
-
Nice. I'm planning on modifying mine as is just sits a bit forgotten now. So far I changed all the drive shafts for metal and new slower motor. Plan is to nicely weather it and work on some details

I'm thinking about taking it to the next level and starting using airbrush for my next model. I never done that so that's why I'm asking for general advice on buying some nice compact kit which would do the job to use on hard plastic and lexan. There are lots online but I don't want to spend fortune and obviously don't want to buy some useless s..t. If anyone can advise that will be great.

Thanks, it actually says on top of their page that UK customers are subject to 20% vat so in the end it works the same. If I only read that to the start🤣🤣🤣 sorry but I was in a zombie mode on night shift 😂

Hi everyone. I haven't been here for a while but I have a question to ask for those who have already built their Buffalos. I'm slowly building mine when I can and I'm nearly there. However I noticed something odd when assembling first shock tonight. Everything seems great apart from top plastic bushings which are fitting very loose into the top shock cap. They just falling out of the eye. I checked part numbers three times and they are definitely right. Has anyone experienced this issue?
