The motor mount has a stripped screw and you will need to remove it. Pinion will be removed before i ship.

I would like to upgrade to a 8S Monster Truck now hence selling. It has been used for runs on road and grass and not for bashing.  Picture shows signs of use. Shell is almost like new with no cracks or major scratches.

Only used on 3s and 4s as couldn't handle it on 6s.

Used HoBao DC1 1/10th Crawler With few metal Upgrades And 6 ch Radio.

This is a kit version and not an RTR version. 

 

Some scratches and scuff marks on body. Only driven 4-5 times in a garden.

 

Tyres are unglued so you can add yours or upgrade!

 

It includes the below:

 

RC4WD 550 brushed crawler motor

Absima 1060 ESC, with various crawler/trail modes 

upgraded metal drive shafts

25kg metal geared steering servo

LED light with front and rear lights including roof light bar

DumboRC six channel transmitter and receiver

uses three channels, forward/reverse , steering and 3rd channel for 2speed gearbox

I've had a set of pistons machined, that I'm going to experiment on, using different oilway holes, so I'll update when I get round to that.

 

But the springs are really too stiff and too long. Even at full extension, there's not  enough sag. Having such a heavy / long spring in the first place, means the adjusters are negated.

I will source some lighter / shorter springs that the adjusters can be used with and again, I'll update.

 

Been busy messing with my new shell for the last few days, so the shocks have really been on the backburner

When I connect my led roof bar to the light system I have, upon accelerating the light dims and fluctuates. Is this normal?

Or  do I need a better esc?

I currently run the absima 1060 to esc. The roof bar is connected to the lighting system for the truck which powers the front and rear lights.

Hey all

 

i had been looking to get a crawler since long and found one built kit on eBay. It has been nicely built, yet to take it out in the wild and get it dirty.

 

It came will all electronics(absima 1060 and a 25kg servo) and lights fitted as an rtr and with a dumborc 6ch tx/rx.

 

there have been some metal mods as well. Pics attached.

 

the tyres are not glued to will order one. Will keep it as it is for now and look for upgrades later.  I think I got a good deal

I am selling my new truck. Nothing wrong with it. Bought an Arrma notorious 6s in ebay with a juicy deal so need some funds.

I have run this mostly on grass and my driveway.

Body has scuff marks. Gopro mount will be removed. Will come with original box. I bought this on 22nd June. See Bill attached.

Could it be something to do with the servosaver loosening?  That's about the end of my knowledge but look at tip #6 in this video as that talks about the servosaver coming loose which might give play?
 
 

I decided to tighten the servo saver today. It was not easy. The manual could be better. Sometimes like what hpi provides where there is a single exploded videoa on one or two pages.

I did reach the servo saver but had to do these steps:

1. Disconnect servo from steering.
2. Remove front bumper screws
3. Remove front wheels
4. Disconnent front shock front shock tower
5. Remove the front chassis. This will involve disconnecting the center axle.

6. Finally u will be able to access the servo saver.

[Servo play on associated rival monster truck]

I need help with the steering play. I have tightened all joints. Checked wheel bearings. But unable to diagnose. Is it the servo saver or servo itself. Its a new truck run only a few times with small crashed. Nothing is broken.

Any help on how to reduce this play. This is too much I think and I have to keep setting the trim on transmitter
