    Thanks, forum seems to have gone from strength to strength! Still seems quite active compared to a lot of car forums which are now dead, I hate the way everything seems to have migrated to facebook.

     

    Back to the point in question: having played a few times with my new 3000mah pack, I think I need to jump straight on the Li-Po bandwagon! Thanks for the offer though 👌

    Standard FTX 15T motor vs Old Orion 19T Element motor

    Which would be faster out the two, from what I remember the FFX 15t motor should be faster because it has less turns... however I imagine the Orion 19T motor would be better quality despite being old, so would it actually turn out to be faster? I have no experience with these "standard" motors that have lower turns.

     

    Motor will be going in a stock FTX Torro.

    King Motors KSRC-001 (HPI Baja Clone)

     

    Been in storage for a few years. I tried to start it today but the bulb was not priming, however with some 2 stroke oil down the cylinder and some easy start it did fire briefly.

     

    It has a few upgrades from standard such a 26cc cylinder head & piston, DDM (?) pipe and a stainless steel under tray. It may have more but that’s all I can see/remember.

     

    It will need a transmitter and receiver but everything else is there. Comes with some spares and an extra bodyshell as pictured.

     

    Collection from Braintree, Essex or can post via courier for approx £30

    Mini-T Batteries

    Just dug my mini-t out from under the bed, I haven't touched it in years.

     

    The old batteries ive found are on charge but there probably pretty duff by now, where is the best place to buy batteries for them these days (ready built). Is it worth getting a lipo battery? I have a Nosram Stealth evolution charger and the esc is a Dynamite mini Tazer.

    What are those motors chap? As in brand/turn/brushed/brushless? And the servos?

    Would be great to get more information on that joblot.

    Most of it I don't need but a few bits I could certainly use, so if you don't want silly money, I'll have that lot.

     

    Motors from Left to Right:

     

    Team Orion Orbital 2 Pro-BB, 13 turn maybe? works maybe? Can turn it by hand ok by shaft seems to move up and down a little. (Edit: Just found 11X2 scratched on the can so that is probably the turns)

     

    Trinity epic/monster motor? Tuned by Express Motorsports, 27T Stock motor. Looks quite new, probably bought from a racer who used it for 3 runs or so and then purchased by me, cant remember using it.

    Trinity epic/monster motor? Tuned by Ea Motor sports, 27T Stock Motor, remember using this again probably bought from a racer originally. Both were bought for 1/10th touring car stock racing (if they dont just use brushless motors now?)

     

    Lastly a standard 540 motor (new) probably taken from a Tamiya

     

    Servos: Hitec HS-322 Deluxe & Acoms AS-12. The small blue one is a tower pro micro servo 9g
