I am fairly new to nitro and sometimes have problems starting the engine when it is cold. So I was thinking of getting a engine warmer, maybe this one https://www.modelsport.co.uk/skyrc-nitro-engine-heater/rc-car-products/385222. What battery do I need for this or do I charge it beforehand?
Many thanks

Is this still for sale and could I see a video of it running?

HI, I am fairly new to the hobby and was interested in getting into to Nitro Rc. Anyways I bought an HSP Backwash because it was very low price, it isn't very good and breaks very easily if I crash it. I have only driven for one day and the pull start broke and the Drive shaft under the front left sway bar snapped. I will probably fix it and try and sell it. What would you suggest I get as a decent car. I don't mind if it is a buggy, truggy etc, as long as it is off road.
Many thanks

Are you saying chassis isn't strong enough. I bought my first rc car, used hsp. Hit a kerb, for some damage

I had a HSP an it hit a parked cars tire and bent the chassis and broke the from right wheel clean off, this was day one of owning it. It still hasn't got back from being repaired. It was an HSP Backwash

I found a good video of the brushed version
It looks pretty good, not the fastest but you could upgrade it

Yeah, your probably better of with this one -- https://www.modelsport.co.uk/maverick-strada-sc-1-10-rtr-electric-short-course/rc-car-products/405660
Hence getting the brushed version and put your own BL combo in. Little shameful they include NiMH with a BL rtr.

I was literally just looking at Mavrick Strada shourt course buggy. It looks decent but you might want to upgrade the battery to lipo.

You'd be better off with any of the other suggestions in this thread. The Gen7 is a Chinese parts bin special
The Gen8 is an improvement but I'd go for the Carisma or SCX10ii.
OK, but is the Gen 7 any good or should I stay away from it

I am going to try and get the Redcat Gen 7 sport

Thanks so much for all the help, I will probably buy the FTX Kanyon because I don't want to spend to much money early on in the hobby and maybe I will be able to get the TRX4 later on. What are good basic upgrades for a trail truck?

I am fairly new to thw hobby and have been looking at buying the HSP Backwash, because it doesnt cost much as a starter nitro buggy. Do you think the HSP backwash is any good, what upgrades could I do it?

Hi,
I am fairly new to the Hobby and wanted to buy a trail truck. I Have a budget of £250 and could stretch to £300. What would you suggest?
New Nitro Engine
in General - Nitro

I am going to be replacing the .18 nitro engine in my 1/10th buggy, does any .18 engine fit any buggy or do I have to buy specifics engines for my buggy (which is a fairly cheap HSP backwash). Does the engine even have to be .18?
Many thanks in a advance
