  1. Does anyone still do this? I'm asking because I've recently got back into 1/8  rally cars so either any updates or evolutions would be great, or if anyone wanted to get rid of any cars etc Did anyone try off road? I recently picked up a thunder tiger emb2 converted from nitro, have yet to run it yet but it has a solid center diff which might make it similar to my vaterra,  anyway any info would be appreciated!

  2. Just where the extensions hubs mount by the lower rear brace, shame cos I was loving it down the big track, actually took it back up the top track and after a while noticed I was fwd!

Put a max8 combo in it and it was flying! I just wondered whether it was worth getting an upgraded one but I think ill just get the standard replacement for the time being, theyre all about 180 quid and Ive already spent too much on it!

  3. Sorry ive only just seen this, what a Muppet i am! I work in ashford and live in cheriton, damn! Thanks for the offer though mond, much appreciated!

Postage isn't an issue for me, it'd have to go 'as is' as i've no outer box anywhere near big enough, nor enough brown paper to cover it.  It's very secure in there and well packed.  A quick quote suggests £15 using parcelforce48hr, though it'd prob be an £1-2 to cover full value for insurance (I think basic limit is £100 from

Im pretty much sold on this, so let me know how much you want total inc postage, did you want me to pm for rest of details?

Sale of the ST Pro back to it's original owner has fell through, go figure.  I'm desperate for space atm too, other things to list soon.

BNIB BSR Berserker Kit - cheaper than the Global warehouse (and no taxes) and much cheaper than the UK/ EU ones.  All KIT's are OOS atm anyway, only the ARR for £300 - you can put your own quality electrics into this for less.  Brushless, 1/8 and surprising well specced / put together.  Parts are cheap and easy to source from a variety of places - uk and abroad and not just Hobbyking.  Contains everything it did when shipped new, never been out it's box.

£140 collected, or post on top - it's a huge box if not any heavier than any other 1/8 truggy.

More than interested, see ya miles away, would you post to tn24? Kent, really want a berserker!

  6. To be honest i didnt want to but im going to use the krait wheels on the scbe eventually, just wanted to make use of the kraits or flog them to my crawler buddy who loves the slow, living and learning!

I gotta admit it shocked me when my dad said he wanted one, hes more into archery but its nice we got something to do together now, the yeti is his first rc and he hasnt had a go on one since my guickdrive midnight pumpkin 30 years ago! Be nice to get some events going like in the us or poland,  i live quite near brooklands rc track but have never been there, love to becone a regular though, we have a little bash spot thats great for the rally cars when we can be bothered to set up the cones and drag my mate out for it, hopefully theres an abandoned motorcross track nearby im going to attempt to repurpose slightly for big yeti jumps so long as the guy who owns it doesnt shoot me trying to get there! Ill post some vids when i find some better spots.

I think the rc companies are a bit confused too, hpi for example kept saying 2017 was their year for change and new stuff, but they still havent really released anything, horizon released a bloody monster truck, for the record i hate traxxas and absolutely despise xmax's!

  7. Cheers for the quick reply dude, my dad got a yeti a month ago but stock rtr and im just waiting for that call "it wont switch on" fortunately my wr8 exploits left me with a spare flux esc if that occurs, we're mostly running in the woods so loose with lots of climbing up loose banks and old bmx tracks up fowlmead so mostly loose with the odd grass run on the way there, im planning a kit build very soon so id rather spend on the kit but my own stupidity is currently having its own effect like ordering 1.9 kraits from asiatees cos at the last minute i thought "ah a set of four is cheaper" but they dont do the 2.2 in a set of four so thought ill get some 1.9 proline flat irons (i know i know!) from modelsport to waste 3 hours not being able to fit them (i research like crazy then at the last minute just order the wrong stuff cos im a fool!) Gonna try to get some vids at some point cos i do love the yeti just bit apprehensive cos i will eventually put the stock motor back in it and get the exo running to run against my scbe, rather not destroy everything i currently have, i was going to change the front diff back but ill wait till i get the kit and keep this one as a crawler/beater and then get some better bits for the kit, sensored brushless is a must!

Love this forum, people are always friendly and helpful to fools like me!

Amazed this hobby is so underground in the uk, its such good fun and more social than youd initially think, it needs to be revived!

  8. Hi everyone, pretty new here havent really posted but i got a few yeti ponderings...all help is appreciated!

Picked up a used yeti rtr a few months back, pretty stock just savox servo and stainless screws and front locker fitted.

Took it out to fowlmead for a decent bash, had a great time, few little breakages but nothing major, anyways stock esc started playing up by sometimes switching on and then not at all, gave up and picked up an exo dirt cheap as it had the older sct castle 3800kv combo and esc (same as the wr8 esc) as it had the 3.2mm shaft ive been running the castle set up in the yeti with a 12t pinion, all seems fine, only been running on 3s with no issues at all aside from knackering the rear diff, (hd gears going in) just wondered if this was all a good idea? Ive got the 16t pinion with an adapter so was going to give that a go at some point, just dont want to knacker anything at this point, mainly running loose surfaces and trailing in the woods, any help or advice is always recommended cos everyone seems to recommend against using it on 3s,

  9. Mine turned up today and the first thing i did was offer up the ken block gymkhana wheels and the weird bobbly buggy ones, they're a slightly smaller diameter than the carisma ones and slightly thinner, and that was the fronts, gonna get a spare set of carisma wheels and tyres and try out the ken block ones once ive had a go on this myself, still have to solder a xt60 onto the xt90 converter i got cos im an idiot and i buy things during fag breaks at work so my final buying research usually winds up with me buying wrong parts!

  10. Nearly got a dbox to see if this solves all issues but I might just chuck a spare avc receiver on it and see how I go, would any one recommend a dbox over avc, obviously side stepping the whole "real men don't use traction control" etc

  11. I can and I can't on mine, having a small issue with the wr8 and its steering, if it rolls then some where along the line it knocks the steering out a bit, so you adjust it quickly with the trim knob and carry on doing this until you can't adjust it anymore and then you have to just put up with it, gonna have a proper look in a bit and see what is going on, pretty sure I know what it is, just bloody annoying.

At least get it sorted for tomorrow, I made a ****ty jump so tomorrow may be painful!
