Roller now sold, just the engine/carb (£275) and the dx4s (£90) left

I've got one in great condition £90 including receiver

Genuine Losi 5ive Hopped up. Not too fussed on selling but I won't have chance to use it anytime soon. Do thought I'd throw it out there. Ive just fully rebuilt the whole truck with new fluids allround and bearings where needed. For the lot I'm after 850 collected from Preston Lancashire.
I may split the roller and enginez £275 for engine, £600 for the roller and hopups including servos.

I've never understood the quick access pinion thing? I've never needed to acces my pinion quickly and let's be serious it doesn't take long to take the diff apart anyway.

Best allround RC has to be the 5ive. I've owned the majority of higher end models and its head and shoulders above the rest IMO.
Best cheaper rc was the slash 4x4

It's done for now, more mods planned but working away for a week now so nothing will be ordered till I'm back. Next mods will be proline blockade tyres, billet f/r diff cases, some sort of tougher shock towers and a few other bits to make it bullet proof.
Tonight i rebuilt the the shocks and filled them with 50wt oil. I'm going to give the red springs a go although I have the blue ones still incase I don't like them. Also fitted the savox steering servo, binded my dx4s and set all the endpoints. Love the dx4s, I've had 4pksr's, MT4s and loads of other radios but nothing compares to spektrum IMO, so easy to use and do what you ask of them. Tempted to try a DX4R in the coming months.
Heres a few snaps, hopefully I'll get an idle tank through it tomoz.

Looks great that, the plus body is 1000x better that the original

Glad you enjoyed it. Every 5ive I've sold I've regretted.
As for springs I've always found the stiffness to be fine with 50wt oil, but a lot of people see them as being to soft, I just think it's more realistic as CORR trucks are really soft suspension wise and I love how the 5ive rolls and slides around. The one I've got now came with red springs so I'll give them ago but I've got some blues incase I don't like it.

That reminds me I need to order one. I'll email nige at freeprawn to get an eta. I'm eyeing up a different clutch setup so I'll change it when I change the clutch. These full mods eat stock clutches, especially with tall gearing.

Got the front diff done and oiled then cleaned everything up this afternoon. Chassi was a right pain to clean being full of grease and dirt, a good carb cleaner worked wonders and I'm happy with how it came out considering.
Anyway I got down to building it back up tonight. Pleased with how it's coming together so far. Just the radio tray/servos to sort and shocks to oil then it should be done ready for break in.

I kind of understand were they are coming from. It was bashed and broke as all rc's do. Your lucky to get a full refund. IMO

Savage xs's are crazy little things

When I do buy from MMR I email Ian first to check lol.
Ive just had a green hour so I stripped, clean, re-oiled and re-built the centre and rear diff, both were dry with no oil left, I think it had all leaked out TBH as it was a mess around it. All 4 screws on both diffs were loose too. Here's a pic to show how dry the diffs are and the wear on the drive ups (have now swapped then round)
I also put the centre diff back in the area setup. I've had to use stock disks as the MRC ones are too thick for the caliper with the wonky pads. I'll be emails RCmodelz about this tonight.

No uk stock that I can find

Why on earth would you sell it after building it?
As as for the hard to tighten bolt I just down an Allen key.

Once the overheating issue is fixed the slash electrics are great. A fan is all they need really

Just now, Guns said:
I didn't get an LSD, But the JRSC made it scream, 290bhp ftw.
Yours looks class though!!
This is built to civic cup specs so I can't do anything too stupid to it (230bhp limit) one day I may turbo it though. It's setup so well it's a joy to drive.

Id love a 1000 on the steering someday but for what a use my rcs for its a lot of money on a servo and TBH I've never had any problems with savox HV servos and a lipo. I don't drive round tracks aggressively and constantly though if I did no doubt as the laps went on id see a noticeable fade. I noticed major fade with the stock servos at my usuhal bash spot.

Wow that's crazy.
