  1. New ESC will register 6S batteries and deliver power accordingly? The power in in that video looks insane the force of a heavy crash will have to break something somewhere me thinks. 6S will be more manageable and speeds can be achieved.
  2. And powerkit fitted and 8s in action wow!
  3. Question I have no clue on batteries but have lots of 3S cells will this set up still run on 6s ?
  4. Here's an unboxing video for the new kit which will be available in the UK
  5. This is great news and also might get Proline more involved with shells and tyres... Anyone got a UK price yet? I presume you could install the kit and run it on 6S set up? I have loads of 3 cell packs.
  6. Thanks for clarifying the specs. if it's not dark it's wet at the moment.
  7. Really enjoyed that video. Shows what great fun the X-Maxx is. The blue one had a Max 6 and 19-50 gearing standard motor? What esc and gearing was in the red one? Looked like you had enough power and control without it being too much to handle. Looking forward to the wheelie bar update.
  8. Keep us posted on those diffs they look very well made. I still have spare Traxxas diffs in the parts box. i think the sheer weight of this truck flying through the air and landing is just destined to break stuff if you get it wrong. Whats the best place to order the RPM stuff and have they come out with any bumpers yet?
  9. Not at all boss I welcome opinion from experienced RCers but some of the negativity from some people on here is hilarious when all they have done is YouTube the xmaxx. Yes it has it's faults but for £650 I don't see anything on the market that is anywhere near as large and as much fun to drive as the xmaxx. i have about £100 of parts sat in a box unused. So far I have replaced a few hub carriers some bearings and both bumpers all caused by my appalling driving.
  10. Good to see its back on the road. It's amazing how many non owners love to chime in on this thread who have never even driven one. Still loving mine I have chipped a diff but it's so small the impact is just additional noise I have front and rear replacements still in their packaging hopefully it won't explode today. Weather looks great outside.
  11. Great video and pics ! Makes theXmaxx look awesome against the competition ! Ran 4 packs through mine today and have retired my front bumper due to compression and bending issues. I have a new one on hand and am gonna go 19/50 tomorrow and strip it all down clean it all up.
  12. So I have a full range of pinions and some spare 50 and 54 Spurs just delivered cheap via Tower. Whats the play ? Just want a little more juice than stock out the box?
  13. Ran another 4x 5000 packs through mine today down at the local, park brilliant fun and no breakages!
  14. Good to see the X-maxx excitement back in the forum. Mine is still all stock love it I will replace bits as required and as things become available. I like that Tbone front bumper.
  15. Mine has firmware update 1 done by logic RC with the fuseable link fitted I like the speed and control etc. It does not flash red twice when I switch it off. I am gonna run it till it blows up then go from there.
  16. A couple of packs for me today at the park and a few jumps with grass landings at the skate park. Also realised I don't have the latest esc firmware update. Has anyone else done the update?
  17. Congrats Guns great pics! I used Gorrilla tape to reinforce the body. I think I posted some pics earlier in this thread but seem to have deleted them from my iPad. The main problem area is the back edge which hits the bumper and splits on landings. I also added some 4mm aluminium countersunk washers to prevent the body mounting frame splitting the shell. £7 well spent on tape and washers as new shells are expensive. It has held up well just a small split on the rear so far even with the tape which is an easy fix with more gorrilla tape.
  18. Good work fella your gonna love it. Just remember to strengthen your bodyshell before use ! New or used?
  19. It's all gone a little childish in this thread recently. I ran mine for an hour or so today on 2 sets of 3s 5000 packs. In total I have probably had 10 hours run time since purchased due to various time constraints. Still stock out the box and I have broken bumpers and a rear hub. Both my fault on crazy landings. I did have my first thermal cut out today due to running it constant for 10 minutes on the second set of packs. Left it for 10 and it was back up and running. There are half a dozen people on here who actually own the truck and all seem to love it. Mine is brilliant and puts a smile on my face every time I use it. It makes me laugh out loud every time someone who has never driven the truck voices a "valid" opinion on the X-maxx. There is nothing as large and as fun for the money right now. It creates a buzz with other people when I drive it and I have met a few interesting people whilst out and about where most people are amazed by the xmaxx and its size and power.
  20. Proline will bring out loads of stuff for the X-maxx and I would imagine it will arrive all at once for a complete x-maxx makeover upgrade.
