Yeah it was the low speed needle, as soon as I fired it up after I had changed it it was sounding 100 times better too haha. Thank you so much

It was probably more to wards the 1mm side of things, I have tried turning the idle screw down to no avail. When all the wheels are off the ground it justs begins to rev up like it's on full throttle. I'll try the low speed needle now thanks

I think getting another one in better condition is going to be quite very very hard haha. These things don't pop up everyday in the physical condition its in haha. 

I'll so some research about them it could even be something like a leaky transistor or even just the gains need adjusting for each out put. So many possibilities lol 

Yeah I tried to do that when I first got it. I managed to hit the input selector and tone control ones which are perfect (could do with some more lubrication in there) I couldn't get to the volume one with out completely stripping the front plate off which I didn't feel comfortable doing. I might have a look at the boards and just add some more 60/40 solder to all the connections like you say 

Nothing really that's as you would say wrong with it. It's just things like there is a quite loud buzz on both channels, sometimes only one channel works until you blip the volume up and down quickly. More than getting those fixed I have no idea about the condition that any of it's in as I bought it off of ebay. Even if someone with the correct tools just went through it to make sure everything is all in spec etc. 

To be honest the solder would for the most be great. It's over 25 years old and back then they used proper solder with lots of lead

The minimum wage for me is something stupid like £3.40ish, and the manager just too one look at that and couldn't believe it so I'll be getting £6.70 an hour with 16 hour weeks. I have tried phoning them on multiple occasions, to no avail. So going try and contact them one more time today via phone. If that is unsuccessful, I will go through Paypal to get my money back. Then see what legal advice I can get to fight a case against them for all the other people too!
