Hey All,
Im new to the electric range and bought this for a test buggy "Kyosho 1: 10 EP 4WD Mad Bug VE Brushless Type 2 30994T2"
Firstly I charged it up and seemed ok but its making a grinding noise near the back diff where the motor sits on take off and reverse take off ? Do i need to adjust this up or ?
also now and then the throttle just stops working no forward or reverse but the steering works, I have to unplug the battery and re connect then its ok again for a while ?
Any advise would be greatly welcome
Thanks

Sry I was thinking 1/8 size and I could push the budget and would want a truggy if spending more.
Brushless is a given
Do t mind if it's a kit or rtr

Only thing to change on that list is the optifuel rtr25% i use optifuel 25%race blend its less smokey, the rtr is renound for its smoke. While your at it get the 5ltr if your running in you'll go through it!
What radio gear are you using, modern digital systems have failsafe built in just requires setting up.
I heard the built in radio system does not cover the batteries inside the car if they go flat ? so its added extra security
Extra plugs are on order bought 4 and will use the less smoky fuel cheers.

Hey all
After some consideration (about 1 day) of seeing a load of my mates with some nitro's I bit the bullet and bought one.
HoBao Hyper SS MachStar 28 6-Port RTR - Black
This is my first buggy but im a fully trained VW tech, think I should be all right keeping it up and running look forward to seeing you all out there !
Read all the run in and tuning info and will be doing it this weekend. If there is any pieces of kit you think I should get which are a must please let me know.
Current list is:
HoBao Hyper SS MachStar 28 6-Port RTR - Black
Optifuel Optimix Rtr 25% Nitro Car Fuel 2.5 Litres
Core RC Nitro Starter Set - UK 240v
Fastrax Micro Failsafe Unit ( FT1002M ) Fail Safe For RC Nitro Cars Miniture
Cheers

So ive fixed the grinding noise by adjusting the motor gap works a treat thanks for the advise on this.
One more question though is this is a bush less motor and when I spin the motor pinion its binding as if clicking over inside, this normal ? or should they free wheel ?
