  1. the front drive shafts do look quite long and thin. Is there a more beefy alternative available?
  2. there can not be many parts on that Yeti that were on the original RTR?
  3. The yeti is not the best on smooth grippy surfaces. It comes to life on the rough stuff
  4. is there any difference betweem white and blue marine grease. which one should I use.
  5. Zombi did you do anyrhing to your servo to try and waterproof it
  6. I took it out to the beach today for a shake out. I got a glimps of how good the model is. but the front wheels were not tight enought and I lost the wheel pin (oh well have to wait for the postman to brinf some spares) I flipped it a few times and found another problem. The yeti can get across some rough ground but flip it and you need to get yourself across that ground to right it. I will need to get my driving skills up or buy some better boots
  7. badlands seem popular as do trenchers. I could even buy a set of used traxxas wheels. should I go for beedlock wheels or not?
  8. I bought a rcmaxxed slash lcg 4x4 rolling chassis. It has a few rpm upgrades http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351286307068?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I then added a turnigy trackstar 80a esc 3500kv motor combo It has a hpi firestorm body (my son chose it) although I think it looks a little small for the slash it is not a bad for bashing as it sits well within the bumpers so it is very protected and will last a while. My problem is now wheels and tyers. It has some cheap buggy wheels and tyres on it. So far however they have performed well giving good grip. but the wheels are made from very thin plastic and I dont think they will last. So what options do I have
  9. at last i got a servo in mine today and set up the Tx throws in the back yard I noticed it runs very smooth forwards but it is a bit jerky in reverse is this normal. there seems to bemore slop in the steering than I would like so I will need to take a good look at that.
  10. well I tried it out this afternoon the brakes stopped working and it turned out it lost calibration then the enter button on my flysky gt3c tx broke. I am new to rc cars but have had many planes over the years. I have always used budget electronics on the planes with few problems. its has not been the case for the car electronics
  11. It is not to my liking I wanted more drag break but it is set to max so I guess thats all I can get out of it
  12. well having another play it seems the drag break does work it is just not very strong but it seems to work better for reverse than forward. I guess I will have to just live with it
  13. Thank you that makes sence. I have the brakes working now more by luck than judgement but the drag break still does not seem to have a huge affect even at 45%. It would be useful to me to have a good drag break for when my young son uses the model. is the drag break normally not a very powerfull break
  14. I bought the trackstar combo and I am happy with the power output but I need some help programming the ESC I bought the programmer so I could set the break on. The programmer shows two setting for breaks "inital break" and "drag break". Can some please expaine the difference to me. Also what ever setting I put on it does not seem to make any difference. I did find on another tread how to calabrate the trigger but I cant get any breaks
  15. originaly I wanted to keep the cost low but I still want something that is up to the job so I am open to suggestions
  16. Well I still have a yeti with no servo. I tried to order one of these but they are discontinued so there are none with uk suppliers. what should I go for. The Hobby king one is not at uk warehouse what should I go for as an alternative
  17. thanks for the info did you find a replacement that works well?
  18. I bought a slash rolling chassis with quite a few rpm parts. are the rpm body mount the same hole position as the traxxas ones. ie if I but a traxxas pre painted and prevdrilled body will it fit onto the rpm mounts?
  19. you cant see on the photo but the paint job is not the best it is a bit patchey but the decals help hide some of it. I am still waiting for a servo before I can try it out http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32389-/ http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32390-/
  20. I was going going to add the full face helmet heads fot simplicity while I paint the skull heads but axial seem to have sent 4 left sides and no rights
  21. well I am going to have to paint the body. I have been it putting off not sure whether to just use one colour ans add a few decals (there are a good selection included) or try something a little more fancy
  22. http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32340-sdc15632/ here is the yeti so far and here are the cow horns. I just throught Boss Hog. I will need to mount these somewhere http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/gallery/image/32341-/
