  1. I guess the dogbone ball is too small in diameter diffside, too. It seems you have the 25mm diff cups and 20mm drive axle ?

This is from the HPI website:

Also available are the Super Heavy Duty parts that made their first appearance on the Baja 5SC truck! These include extra-strong 9mm thick dogbone driveshafts and the axles & outdrives to fit the dogbones. You can also get a pre-built Complete HD Alloy Diff Gear Set fitted with the Super Heavy Duty Diff Shafts! #104963 COMPLETE HD ALLOY DIFF GEAR SET (BAJA 5SC) #104965 SUPER HEAVY DUTY DIFF SHAFT 25x48mm (2pcs) #104966 SUPER HEAVY DUTY DRIVE SHAFT 18x116mm (2pcs) #104967 SUPER HEAVY DUTY DRIVE AXLE 25x70mm (2pcs) The Super Heavy Duty parts must be used together because of the diameter of the dogbone. The rear arm may need to be trimmed for clearance of the dogbone as well, please check this carefully to avoid drag or binding in the drivetrain while driving.

  2. slipper was  not made for brushless flux. i was in contact with Castle Creations support on this topic., too. They told me just to watch esc temp and motor temp after the first runs.. 6s cant stress the mamba xlx 2028 combo. Also the xlx esc has the ability to set a max amperage e.g. 200A. Hope this helps.

  3. Product Descripton

Kraken Maxxis Trepadors Tires are a collaboration project between Kraken, MAXXIS and Levi Shirley. These scale tires are modeled after the 1:1 tires driven by Levi Shirley on his ULTRA4 rig "Loretta" in the King Of the Hammers race. The treads are aggressively engineered for off-road domination as seen at KOH. Coupled with our newly engineered compound of hybrid foam and rubber inserts, these tires will take your 5th scale rigs to the next level in terms of scale and performance. Tires measure 240mm or approximately 8 3/4 inches in height and 72mm approximately 2.9 inches in width and would fit any truck size 1/5th scale wheels. These tires are L & R directional, please observe the "Arrow" when installing them.

  4. Hi OHO, I already have them installed....

I think I have to change piston and/or oil weight. But I read that 16 hole piston with e.g. 40wt is no good -

searching for a trusted jump setup now...In the bash shown in the vid above you can see me for a split second inspecting her finding both rear shocks gone off the upper ball ends !

  5. After upgrading to RPM rear arms (because the bottom shock screw ripped the stock arm) I went out with her again....

I definitely need to change the rear shock setup to avoid bunny-hop landings - any hints for vvc shocks ? (piston holes vs. shock oil vs spring rate)
