As you say doesn't matter what shell you use its going to split/break at some point so will try the KM SC shell next time

I just dont get how my KM shell has been beaten to a pulp and still going strong and ive had some big air crunches and its still good to go. I have a normal roll in the HPI shell and its split. Glad I only paid

I've even compared the thickness of both shells and my KM is thicker but not by much and I've been pretty careful with the 5SC as its my summer shell and will go back to my KM one for the winter. You could be right and maybe I got a sub standard one and glad I only paid what I did but didn't expect it to split on a roll over

Well ive put the HPI shell against a KM shell and the HPI is very very poor in comparison and its even thinner than the KM one and there supposed to be thicker and stronger yea right lol

Im afraid it will always be like it lol If it does the same job at half the price or less im all over it :-)

Luckily I only paid $60 for the HPI shell cause if I paid the full price I would be crying now lol. My KM shell has taken a serious beating I can tell you and it's scratched to hell but still in one piece. I absolutely agree KM have seriously raised there game and ive replaced all the bits ive broke (my fault not failures) with KM parts. Glad to hear the stock gears hold up and yup doughnuts melts plastic lol. Im gutted about the 5SC shell splitting like that but once thats beat up I will buy the KM one for sure

Should have done that but didnt plan on the damage but hey hoe I will sort it out and my KM 5T shell has took a right beating compared to that HPI 5SC shell which does surprise me some what!!!

Ah I get you now and no if u look closely on the video u will see me roll it and that did the damage and didnt notice till I was packing up. Nothing that a few cable ties wont fix lol

Thats one thing I didn't want believe it or not as I wanted a nice smooth power band but with bags of revs and top end

Watch the OBR YouTube video steve he explains why the 813 is no good for bashing as its hard to tune. Stick with or get another 990

If you watch the OBR YouTube video Dan recommends the 990 for bashing and the 813 for speed runs plus it's a bitch to tune so I would stick with the 990 as its a good carb

if there was one of that quality in my area dont u think I would be using it!!! Hence why im jealous as there is naff all apart from a flat field and a few wooded areas which u cant swing a cat.
