The spark was quite a bit stronger and tested it on a fully charged battery,don't no of it was an illusion or not but like u I'm no engine expert so will see if it improves anything but it will probably be so small I won't notice but any difference is good in my book lol Be good to hear from an engine tuner on the plug as pro,s/cons [emoji106]

Thanks RM and maybe blow the dust off and get it out of the tool box and give it a test[emoji106][emoji41] Will keep u posted and will pull the plug after every bash and take some pics for you and my own comparisons and please share any info you find out on them. And yes I wonder why the LSOR guys don't run them but so far I've noticed a big difference in strength of spark compared to the stock NGK plug and that can only be a plus yes/no

Thanks again for the heads up on it and will keep u posted on how it holds up [emoji106] Went to see my mate at the motor factors and he took that screw threaded thingy off an old plug so all good and the spark was a lot stronger than the stock NGK as tested them side by side and should be out tomorrow and Sunday so it will get a good test [emoji41]

Thanks for the advice and will do as you say lol Was you saying about the iridium plug that made me get one as I've done a few plugs myself and cost a small fortune as was only buying one at a time plus had a duff one which I wasn't best pleased but your not going to send that back. Didn't expect any performance gains but a better stronger spark will help so more than happy with that [emoji106]

  8. Just the man I wanted to hear from and will take my plug in the motor factors so I get the right size and if I have to buy a cheap plug then so be it. I only ruined a cheap torch plug so no loss but the whole inner came out and suppose I could have tried to get that nut off from that but wasn't sure if it has a nut or just a complete end???? Will have a look later but either way I will sort it as its all gaped up ready to go for a test [emoji106]
  9. Lol and will get the proper nut thingy or buy a plug that u can take it off of and use that. Don't want no sparks flying around my truck or I will have a melted shell to go with the split in it lol Can just see them now moaning like mad at you ya bugger and would expect that bodge up from Pago lol
  10. Already got the spring mod and my pads are hardly worn so a little tickle with some fine sand paper to bring them back to life. Having no brakes is horrible as u have to be in the ball and no over do the runs as u could probably tell as was just hitting full rpm and then hoping I didn't hit anything as tree,s behind me so had to be careful. Went to put my iridium plug in and I haven't the screw cap thingy so went to take one off of my old torch plug and it just broke the thing out of the plug so will have to take a trip down to local motor factor and get one as it looks like they use some sort of resin or sheath to hold that cap on and there is no way of unscrewing it off the thread if it even has one!!!!!
  11. Only took me an hour to sort it out plus sanded up the paps and disc,s plus set my end point which is now 52% instead of 90% and still wouldn't stop lol. Put some epoxy on my split on the shell and just waiting for that to cure then will put a few layers of cloth tape over it to help strengthen it. Felt better by doing it as really didnt feel like it but watched the motogp and got on with it. Went over the truck with a fine tooth comb checking the bolts and eclips so its all ready to rock at the weekend :-)

  15. Plug colour is fine but I dont trust it so wonder if I have some dirt/grit somewhere in the carb or maybe the diaphragm needs checking for any holes!!!!
  16. Not that I dont trust the carb but the settings im using as before at 1 1/8 on the low no bogging now it bogs but can tune it out but its 3/4 of a turn and I dont trust it if u no what I mean!!!

Ah problems with a 990 and I think mine is the same as I cant dial out the low end bog im getting as the low needle is about 3/4 of a turn from closed which isnt right and it was running great on 1 1/8 turns out on the low with no bog so think i need to do the same and get a rebuild kit and see if that cures it or a 813 will be next. Will have a look at the 1107 later and no a side pipe doesnt give u loads of bottom end but I had loads and then it started bogging slightly but hasn't got any worse just I didnt like leaning the low needle that much but the plug looked ok but I dont trust it...

What gearing you going for and I stuck with the stock 55/17 as its good enough for my needs but got 56/18 to mess with at some point but I don't think I need it at the mo. Pago going home with the big fat lower lip syndrome and he would be better off throwing it over his shoulder lol

  21. Been put off by the walbro 1048 so im definitely gonna try the 813 and when its set up right its a bloody good carb and I should have even more top end which I like lol
