  1. Calm down calm down (scouse) lol Not been here long and just chilling under a shady tree and dont be surprised if u don't get any footage but will try my best to entertain u lol
  2. Back again for some more bashing and hopefully get some wheelies on film this time but dont hold your breath though lol
  3. Was funny as u like mark and couldn't stop doing it and that old saying little things please little minds well that's me lmao. Was a pure fluke as I don't normally come on and off the throttle like that as its WOT then brake turn round and give it some more WOT till I'm bored then go home lol. Going to do some more tomorrow and will get the phone out to video it but knowing my luck it won't do it for luv or money but I will die trying [emoji106][emoji41]
  4. Well that's another hours running time done and I cant wipe the huge great smile off my face lol and again I can't sing enough praise for the 813 carb as it was faultless and I put it through its paces today too. Now I can officially (witnessed by my mate) say that I did my first proper big ass wheelie and I nearly wet my Y,s laughing so much,I don't no if it's the 5T shell getting the air under it or my driving lol Every time I hammered the throttle and hit the high end the front wheels were lifting off the ground and if I hit a bump it was sitting up begging lol. No it's probably not much to u guys but I absolutely luv it but didn't take away my fun as still could do WOT runs no problem it's only when I went off and on the throttle the wheels would lift off the ground. Out again tomorrow for some more fun and I've not been this excited since I 1st got my truck and outlaw engine so thank you Mr 813 carby for injecting even fun into my life lmao [emoji106][emoji41]
  5. RPM rear skid plate but where,s the dom gone lol
  6. Same here steve and that poxy 3 week break they took how dare they lol. Had to watch F1 last weekend and was bored after 5 minutes even though Hamilton was making a pigs ear of that race lol
  7. Shell has still got mud on it and under it from my last bash some time ago lol
  8. Yes mate sure is as im a massive crutchlow fan as well a rossi fan :-) Well spotted young man
  9. Big arches and me have arrived and under a tree for some shade. Now will cool down with an ice cold can of pepsi max abd wait for my mate to turn up then its bash till I break something which with my skill it wont take long lol
  10. I just realised the block one is wrong so cheers for pointing that out but making a new hole isnt yo bad!!! As for tightening the bolts I did watch the gasket compress abd only use the HPI allen key so I don't wrench on the bolts to hard so just nipped them up and then an extra nip. I did check the carb bolts when I took the air filter off and just gave them a touch. Glad u get a air leak warning as its my biggest fear to ruin my engine but im pretty cautious so I do checks after every bash session.
  11. Anyone up for a party under the arches lol Looks better with the orange silverbacks on and fitted the RPM rear skid plate but dont think thats gonna help my driving [emoji38] [emoji57] [emoji41] [emoji106]
  12. Well that looks well used lol and thanks dor the pics. If I do your mod will only do the outer rim and will get some more Teflon gaskets and where did u get yours from as there the exact ones???? Glad the 813 turned up but boo that u haven't fitted and tried it out lol. Get the bloody thing on mate :-) Im off out for a few hrs bashing today and hopefully tomorrow too and talked my mate into it plus just gone back to the 5T look and god its naff compared to the 5SC lol Will put a pic up of it in a bit and WOW that gap in the arches is so laughable
  13. I did have a sneaky suspicion that GPS was more for cars not RC,s lol and thanks for the heads up [emoji106] Fingers crossed for you too so hopefully it will be there for you Saturday and let me no [emoji41] Just had my RPM rear skid plate turn up from AsiaTee,s.com and that place is so cheap compared to hear, some stuff is about the same price or a tad under and delivery time was about a week so not bad apart from I ordered by mistake the 5T skid plate not the 5SC and how did I manage that lol. I mainly got it so if I run a rear Dom it will fit the rear bumper as without it u can't but when I change over to the 5T for the winter I can chuck it on so not all bad but I must check and double check what I'm buying in future [emoji107][emoji22][emoji30]
  14. Great stuff and really look forward to your findings and fingers crossed it comes at the weekend and I no what your saying with air leaks as had my fare share of them and you PITA lol With my side pipe on its a bloody nightmare to get my dinner plate hands to line the bolts up and if I had a pound for every time I've dropped gaskets/bolts down the back of the engine I would be a rich man lol. I've done shed loads of reading on them probably like you and there are 4's and against,s a but doesn't that apply to most things as people will have a difference of opinion but it's what u want not what they want lol My style is exactly the same as yours full chat turn or in my case roll then full chat again lol but it pleases me and it's what I want to do but not for everyone and I want a TTO tach and temp gauge to keep an eye on things and it's on my very long list. I've got a GPS installed on my phone and will at some point strap it to my truck and see if I can get some figures and it's supposed to be very accurate as long as u get a good GPS signal
  15. Bet that was frustrating to say the least but again you've found the problem and it's getting sorted :-) Look forward to your veiw on the 990 vs 813 and do the 990 first as I think u will see a improved performance when you switch to the 813. Im still chuffed with what happened yesterday and I didn't think for one second I could improve on how my outlaw was running but how wrong can one be lol
  16. Not at the moment but if I get no joy I will let you no [emoji106]
  17. Well u found the problem which is key and your right its not all carbs lol. A reed to me is tricky but again ive never owned one but will one day to see what all the fuss is about :-). With the reeds sorted and a retune I can only imagine it will go even better than before. Steve have you found any of the findings I had today with the on off full throttle bog/flooding??? Be good to no your findings as youve run a 990 as well.
  18. Im normally quite reserved on these things as ive not been in this hobby long and think if I recommend or comment on stuff I will get it wrong which I have on a few things lol but I have to shout this from the roof top as its certainly worked for me and what I wanted ftom that carb and just hope you both get the same and cant wait to hear your veiws. Just take your time with the tuning and small increments (as if I need to tell you 2 ) lol
  19. Get it on steve and it will make that crazy reed into a bloody crazy reed lol. No what you mean as I hate to bodge anything and glad youve got it sorted and I just hope u have as much smile factor as me
  20. I just cant say how much better it is than the 990 but tricky to bloody start if u get that low needle wrong as it will just flood and if it does just back it off a 1/8 ect. Glad to hear your going to try one and I will be honest here I was scared of it due to it being "so called" tricky to tune my ass lol. Just do the low end 1st and then the high end and trust me u will no when youve got that right as it pulls like a train and I didnt think it would get any better of a setup than what I had but how wrong can u be lol. Keep us posted as want to no your veiw on the 813 and to see if your findings are as ive found :-) I must admit I was getting slightly jared off with that low end bog with the 990 and that clone side pipe as I just couldn't get rid of it. I new the side pipe was responsible for some of it and think its the nature of them but please chime in if im wrong or is there a side pipe out there that pulls from the get go right through!!! I really want to try a rear dom/clone dom to see how mad my outlaw will be but no I will loose that addictive crazy top end. Want a V2 but a clone would suffice for now so best I save some pennies [emoji106] [emoji41]
  21. Or swap for 1/5 Baja parts as want V2 rear Dom Alloy gearbox/Diff/dog bones H/D/cups H/D TR clutch system pinion/spur gear Savox/Hi-Tech throttle/steering servos Or what have you got to swap for 1/5 Baja
  22. Right peeps Fitted alloy insulator block with no gasket sealant and the Teflon gaskets only so took the truck out in the garden and it fired up 3rd pull so played with the idle and low needle and tested for air leaks and all good [emoji106] Thought right a trip over the field is in order as I can't wait till Sunday to try this out and was like a kid with a new toy lol. Needles were pretty much stock settings high 1 1/2 low 1 1/8 so thought right will tune the low end 1st with only a 3rd throttle as I no with that accelerator pump it will dump a load of fuel and mess it up. Low ended up being 1 turn out. Now the high seemed pretty spot on and the outlaw was screaming but thought I would just richen out a mm at a time until it bogged then go back a mm or so. Well a 1/4 of a turn later at 1mm at a time it finally bogged out so went in a mm so it ended up being 1 3/4 on the high so just goes to show stock settings are not always what they seem and u wonder why so many newbies lean seize there engines as no carb settings are the same[emoji106][emoji107] Right the summary As some will no I've run the 990 for quite a while now and rate it a lot but for some reason i just couldn't dial out that low end bog no matter how lean I went and I no that pipe doesn't help but you no what that 813 has virtually eliminated it completely with only a slight bog and man does it take off and from my eyes it's much quicker and overall faster on top end than the 990. Maybe the alloy insulator block has helped and will try the 990 on it once I've got a rebuild kit so watch this space. Since I've had my outlaw I've not once done a full tank in one go as normally do 10-15 mins and cool off then out again but I couldn't stop doing high speed runs and 1/3 throttle drifting which I couldn't do with the 990 and I was grinning from ear to ear and then out of fuel bummer lol. I was only meant to do a few runs then a plug check and go home but I was having fun big time. Swapped over to the iridium plug for 2 speed runs when I got the tune right and it's a lovely chocolate brown and meant to take a pic but forgot. So all in all I'm very very very impressed with this carb and I now no what the hype is all about and it's a sight cheaper than the 990 so of anyone is in doubt about trying this don't as your missing out on some serious extra performance. Now the not so good bits Well not really bad but the annoying for some but not me as I'm seriously happy with the 813. The one thing I did notice if you gun the throttle and then throttle off and on it will bog out a bit but not that much and soon clears and your off again. If you feather the throttle like I did at 1/3 just before the high kicks in it's good fun drifting and doesn't effect going to full throttle as there is no lag and boom your off and it doesn't effect coming off full throttle onto a 1/3 of throttle for fun. Some say it's no good for bashing and yes I can see that if your on and off full throttle all the time as it will flood out/bog but clears quickly. As I've already said if your considering this carb then get one you won't be disappointed and i can't wait to get out and rip some more grass to shreds lol [emoji41]
  23. Thanks for the advice and im not going to use any sealent as your bang on as both my head and block pulse holes had sealent in them so lesson learnt. Will check out DDM later after work and also grind that alloy block down :-)
  24. Thanks for the input and will take care in tightening up the bolts and got a new gssket coming and will use loads of gasket sealent to be on the safe . Ive never had a problem with the plastic block except over tightening one and cracking it but that was my fault as well as the air leaks I had due to me not having it seated properly as well as a tiny bit if old gasket I didnt remove which was just my laziness so lesson learnt and now clean thoroughly with carb cleaner and a tickle of fine sandpaper. Not confident with the alloy insolator block and if I have one more air leak/problem its going in the spares box for all eternity lol
