  1. I'm not to sure about the wiper arms flywheel puller but certainly can get a flywheel puller looks like an arch with a thread that comes down and also a triple clutch shoe remover.
  2. Tell a lie it was 167mph. Here is the video of it 167 mph electric RC car:
  3. That's pretty nuts I saw a video on youtube of a car doing 123 mph I think it was straight into a tent
  4. The threadlock I use is green? What's this one then? Lol Depending what car I would recommend offset screwdrivers. rtv silicone heat resistant for selling nitro engines, Spare shims if needed. I know washers were said but also o rings for likes of hsn/lsn as they do rot and/or crack up if over tightened. Not a necessity but a switch, for the sake of a couple quid it's better to have one as that is what turns the electrics in and off on a nitro would suck with out one. (I had to replace mine and had to wait the weekend for a replacement) also I think shoe goo as people calling it is shoo goo (I may be wrong) but it will also fill minor cracks in the shells to stop them getting bigger and ruining your shell.
  5. Apparently it can be run still but just going to wear the clutch out alot quicker as need the brake on to stop it from moving when idling which in turn will cause more heat to the engine. Is this correct aswell as I don't want to be ruining my engine I would wait a week and buy another set of clutch shoes for her. Changing subject a touch here I have read that the basic servo in the firestoem is pants (not sure what this means as I don't have any issues) but could this be part the problem aswell if so do you know what I should purchase to replace it? And thankyou for replying
  6. No they don't come with that as standard I fitted it but made sure it was all nicely done and thought as the shoes are soft ill use the thicker spring to balance that out. I have tried tuning and no matter what I do it still moved on idle (quite bad sometimes) so I done what I got told and took horn off re adjusted the carb and put reset the 1mm idle gap (as mine was massive) this didn't work I tried adjusting idle screw but nothing so I thought sod it ill take it down the hobby shop well to cut a long story short he took it Monday said collect wedsneday and would cost
  7. Yea I will do I will order em over the weekend so they should be here by weds next week aslong as it's not raining will fit em take em straight out :-) as you do lol
  8. I have being told that the idle is fine on the firestorm and that the clutch is engaging on idle but I don't understand how or why it is only about 5 weeks old and is the answer rc triple clutch with the 1.1mm springs? I have got to pick it up tommoro so want to get some ideas as to why it could be happening
  9. Just not the ones who you help like myself lol. But no your right I did say someone managed to get this running on lipos they used 2 lipos side by side. So it is a possibility just not going to be very fun unfortunately the page I was looking the pictures had being removed so don't k ow how they done it
  10. Yea that is the ebay number, you can get others go ogling and trawling through ebay but they seem to skinny and personal ally I think k will look weird on the carnage so going to but them big boys end of the week other option I found was pro - line road rage tyres/wheels but at
  11. Ahhhhh I was enquiring a couple weeks ago just haven't got round to doing it. (Had a collision with my leccy which required a new front end, me firestorm 10t has needed few parts and needed more fuel) But I was going to attempt myself (some will say it won't be the same but practice makes perfect) can buy a starter kit that from carink.co.uk that comes with everything including a roll of dip for about
  12. I have had a quick Google and must admit that no where seems to have the saddle pack. If you want to call cml (people who manufacture/sell FTX) this is their phone number 01527 575349. Can ask them if they sell it or if there's a part number for this (assuming you don't have the component book) Going to back my previous statement about lipos it is possible to do this some guy has done this and is running 2 lipos side by side (if you Google ftx enrage lipo you will find it I won't link as it is off another forum)
  13. What brushless setup do you have then as with brushless lipos are normally the way to go (I found out the hard way) nimh just hasn't got enough uummph and I suffered cogging quite bad. Also is there no way to modify the chassis to have the battery somewhere else?
  14. Cheers for all your responses guys I think these will work 400571276571 they are about 1cm thinner than the off road ones but think these will look fine and will have enough tread and grip on road the off road ones are a bit whack and just slide around and if wet on road they more like drift tyres. :-) if anyone sees anyone reason why these wouldn't work please let me know
  15. Sandpaper will be quite thin I do agree there maybe build it up. Issue I would have is if it gets too hot it will smoke. Maybe cloth. Leather might work aswell but same again if it gets too got will it melt in which case sandpaper would be better as it won't leave sticky residue behind.
  16. Sandpaper, emery cloth? I don't know what sort of brakes 5 hat uses but know the hpi is like a fibre disc and 2 metal pads clamp in to this.
  17. I have got the springs from a integy clutch setup that was used before can I just replace the springs and see if this works?
  18. Hey guys I have got a firestorm 10t which I have recently installed three answer clutch shoes and springs. I 5o ok my car to the hobby shop as after I done what 2 as recommended the other day to stop the car running whilst idle it still hadn't stopped it. I have being informed that the clutch is engaging and someone on here (I can't remember who) said it looked like I had soft clutch shoes on it. I am going to change the lot but not too sure what ones to get can anyone advice me on this please.
  19. Cheers for replying. They would prob work but they look so skinny for a truggy can I not got wider on road?
  20. I have vaguely asked this before but have had a look and I am so confused as to what ones will fit and will work with the carnage. I was hoping somewhere on here could help with this and send us a link or item number to some that will work with the ftx carnage. Cheers
  21. I have taken a photo quick of the controller it appears there isn't no brake trim. And I assume by doing this, the throttle trim can then be adjusted (though it shouldn't need to be) using the tx both ways whereas at the moment Is all the way down?
  22. Cheers :-) And on controller I don't have a brake trim hut throttle and trim and the d/r is how sharp the steering is. But do have the 4 holes on the right hand side which require a screwdriver I did turn them before but can't remember what way so how do these go back to where they should if they even do anything? And okie so basically take horn off close carb completely check idle screw adjustment works put horn back on then set gap to 1mm approx and tey firing her up? Cheers again pal.
  23. When you say all the adjusters on the tx is that just the throttle trim? Or is that steering trim also on my tx hpi tf-0430 (I think is the model number) it has a bit for screwdrivers to go do they need to be adjusted if so how do I know they are correct? And when you say slider is fully closed is that the gap in the carb? Sorry if any of this sounds dumb I never had to do this before
  24. No car doesn't die/bog when brake on but is a must because the idle too high which causes the car to move. High idle: http://youtu.be/0r3iSGko5tk I know shouldn't be off ground when throttling but was to test if you see at end of video my finger is fully on brake because the idle too high. With regards to the gap in the carb mine is too much but I have tried moving the armature and the idle screw but haven't managed to get it close to the 1mm gap. Broke?: http://youtu.be/OpOZ-3vg6gI Nitroholic did say to take servo horn off and turn electrics on to allow it to reset then try setting again. The idle screw only moves the gap open or close a tiby bit so not sure if that's possibly broke.
