Hello i treated myself to a mini inferno half 8 (10 years old) and it runs fine but needs some juicing up, i have thought of replacing the 9.4v 8 cell nimh lrp pack with a lipo saddle pack or pair in parallel. Anyone suggest a set or what would be suitable - need to be around 5.5x4x2.5h each. Will the lipo give it more punch? Would a 27mhz kyosho rtr speed controller lose the plot using this lipo? Can I add a brushless? Thank you for any forthcoming help!

My son and I (ahem) are wanting to dip a toe in the waters of 1/8 rally cross (not sure it's called that any more!) and are looking for a basic no frills complete set up - doesn't matter if its a bit tatty as long as it runs - its going to get crashed into everything by the boy (again ahem!) - as long as I can easily get spares. Guess hyper 7 or inferno neo type thing. Anything doing? Can possibly collect northwest. Thanks for looking.

Hi all, a little background first! I, many years ago used to race ministox, which I bought from this place when it was otley model sport and you found stuff out in magazines (only stocked by smiths). More recently (10 years ago;)) had a dabble in v12 mar eaves for a season but not my cup of tea any more. Figured I have to go to 1/8 nitro off road and living in the north west there seems to be no end of choice for clubs! My secret weapon is called my son whom I have guided toward racing so I can blame purchases on him:) Looking forward to getting involved! Where are the smilies?
