  1. Hi everyone been out of the rc game for a while now and needed some advice.

     

    After having a bad time with 3 hpi rs4  nitro I sold up a while ago and am washing my hands with nitro

     

    So in the market for a electric rc 

     

    I'm looking at the hpi sprint 3 flux (used to have one a few years ago loved it apart from the belts always breaking

     

    Or 

     

    Hpi rs4 sport 3 flux 

     

    What's better 

     

    Any pro or cons for both cars 

     

    Will just be using it in the car park for bashing

  2. Thanks guys so I took it out again for a blast and and done the hsn a bit richer but it went worse it cut out just over half throttle so I went back set it 1-2 hours leaner the my original setting I started off with and runs fine now and changes in 2ed gear alot faster now too. 

     

     

    Bad news while I was testing lost my spur gear  teeth are all worn out on 1 of the cogs ? so will have to order some new ones.

     

    So it prob a good time for a full stip down and rebuild while I'm waiting for the parts. And to sort my brake out on the car too ?

  3. Thanks tom after reading the msuk tuning guide I had a go last night and I could not believe it iv got it to run ??

    The  idle seem to be very good the pick up seem to be perfect and even goes in to second gear.  ( I was running the lsn way too rich)

     

    Done a full 2 tanks in it last nite.

     

    Only issues I'm having is I tuned the lsn 1st then the hsn. Iv read it should be the other way round.

     

    And if hit the throttle hard at top end speed the car cuts out. But if I hit the throttle smother to top speed it's fine ?

    Any ideas 

     

    Very nice satisfaction when things start working ?

  4. O  no I'm not buying a new nitro thus is my old one from years ago that I gave up on and got forgotten about for years lol.

     

    Don't no why but just love the thought of a nitro running right For once. got so frustrated last time I packed it away.

     

    Just looked online and found the factory needle setting to I'll give it ago after work.

     

    Any one got any tips or advice for the hpi t3 engine ?

  5. So after buying a hpi rs4 around 2-3years ago from a member form the site and not having much luck with it tuning wise I gave up and bought 2 hpi sprints lipos. 

     

    After selling them about a year ago I'm missing the rc life and was looking at buying the hpi rs4 sport flux lipo 

     

    But iv always had the thought I'm the back of my head about fixing/tuning my nitro again 

     

    So Now iv got the itch again to get the nitro going so pulling it out and having it cleaned and hopfully start fresh again with a bit of luck I can get it set up and enjoy it as I should :)

    Nuttyp I have taken and moved the mesh to tight to loose still the same problem

    I took rear dog bones off rear and the noise goes if that help any one under stand better.

    Also could it be that my rear belt has become loose over time as I hade to change my rear belt cog last week ??

    Looked online and few people have same problem to the t as mine and said rear diff screws fell out and was loose but all my screws are in place

    I seem to be getting a bad brinding noise from my sprint from the back diff and moter area when the car.

    if i lift the car off the floor and throttle its fine just when its on the floor driving

    the noise only comes after half throttle or harsh power is given

    Moved the moter pinion and spur tighter so its not that

    diff seems in place and good

    come to a dead end now car is only been out 2 or 3 times from new

    any help would be good

  8. There decent wee combos tbh, use the bigger version in my 1/8th truggy.

    Would maybe get a cheapo 10t aswell and just swap motors for when drifting/racing.

    I was same as you at start, kinda a bit "oh i,ll want to run it as a race/speed car aswell"

    Tho thats out the window now, went full drift. I can still run as normal, but it would probs be a bit weird, what with my front one way diff setup.

    But yeh the Ezrun combos are good value and well made :)

    With a 5.5t or whatever it was motor tho you can still drift, but will probs have issues with low speed drifting. I know I do still with my 10.5t

    ya colicab need to get speed out of my system before i start drifting lol

    your bang on 2 moters seem to be a good idea

    im guessing if i get a the ezrun i should be able to use esc on both moters

  9. I never thought id ever get out of nitro but from the time i got my sprint 2 flux lipo iv been spechless lol...

    seen combo called ezrun 5.5 t esc and moter online seems to be amazing power thinking of going for that what you recon coli for raw speed.

    For around 60 quid

    or any one got any rewiews on it?
