  1. don't do it mate.. biggest pile of over price junk ive ever brought.. spent more time getting replacement motors that burn out really easy.. if you gonna get this spec of quad by the blade 180qx and get a used 2nd hand dx6i to get acro modes.

    or put another

  2. Hi

I own several cars and im thinking of selling a couple of my Slash 4x4s

my HCG slash 4x4 has got the hobbywing sc8wp 120 amp esc and 3400 kv motor along with MIP drive shafts all around with 17mm hex upgrade and a few other RPM parts etc...

being sensible what would you expect to sell that for?

    cheers in advance.

ps has got sign of use and general wear and tear but very well serviced not rusty screw and newish bearings full working... have modded the chassis to fit Velcro straps as the traxxas battery extention upgraded kept snapping the metal tie down screw thingy..

  3. I've got it all mounted in but I'm not massively happy with it.. The motors great but the esc's a pain as it's mounted sideway and I have to have a cut in a shell to wear a shell. When I've got some spare money I'm gonna get the sidewinder3 esc I went do the route of the traxxas brushed mount. I like the gears being covered as I had loose gravel in places I go.

  4. did my diffs when I received my chassis on my ss buggy.. theres not even grease in the mate mine were virtually dry and the difference with just using 5k oil on all three diffs is highly noticeable. far more power to the rear tyres and ive not lost a tyre since even with 6s they seem to be sticking to the rim better. is it just the fronts you keep loosing? what batteries are you using dude? I puffed 2 decent 3s last week with this RC granted its a MM2 setup so it heavy on the amp draw.

  5. I run all three types of drive shafts on three model..

mip great and durable but rubbish 17m hex adaptors that only fit certain wheel and ultimatlely wear really quickly meaning you have to buy new 17mm adap and new wheels when running 3s every month

tekno are great really light and 17mm hex are the best in the market for traxxas 1/10 models plus great thing with these is load of extra adjustments avalible as they come with the own bearing/hub carriers

traxxas are great but too bloody expensive for what they are. 17mm not tried traxxas own ones but they do look alright

go with the teknos and look on powerhobbys website for em your power5 or power10 as your discount code and jobs a good en

  6. So... I brought at the weekend a 1/16th erevo roller with just a servo (stock one so from what I read I will be swapping that out in the future)

I have ordered some rpm parts as there is cracks in the axle carriers are a little bit cracked and look like they have seen better days.. I also ordered some metal hollowballs as from what ive read the stock one are rubbish and stretch etce a

I have a few esc's knocking around including a VXL3s which I pulled from my slash 4x4 which im gonna install in this..

I was torn as what to do motor wise at this is a brushless model hence has the smaller motor mount and would rather spend money else where other than

  7. The wheel base will be wider with truggy wheels and there will be about 4cm in over hang on the body so that's sounds right.. As I said the centre drive shafts and chassis stiffeners the same size on both infact all ss models I.e cage and gtb nitro electric. I think on of the nitro ones has a slightly different chassis stiffener due to the shape of fitting the engine/motor in. This is the only area they could stretch the chassis. I think that photo must just be the angle of the pic. Either this or some how there is extensions on centre diff drive cup and and front and rear. Plus this chassis any longer would be flimsy with the same chassis stiffeners without being 6mm which isn't. I'd agree with you based on the photo but I can't see how it's possible.
