  5. Is there any reason why I can't put bigger wheels on my firestorm st I was thinking about maybe 1/8 buggy wheels as I would like a bit more ground clearance when on grass. Are there any 1/8 buggies that use 12mm hex or will I also need converters
  6. Well we got there a bit late and only got the firestorms out for 10mins before the rain attacked so I went out and bought some dirt hawgs Instead.

  16. I tighten the bolts when the engine is hot and also put a v thin nut on the end of a slightly longer bolt also red Loctite will work but is difficult to remove due to the extra strength it has.
  17. fuel line is in good condition couple months old
  18. when a new plug is put in when the engine is hot or cold it will instantly start, no vapour locks and moved the fuel line away from the engine already. I used to build tune and prepare 1:1 race engines for Hondas but these little engine have got me hooked im lovin the bloody things.
  19. engine has loads of compression and has been checked for air leaks lsn it set 1/4 in from base setting and hsn approx. 1/2 going to try again with the tune again tomorrow
  20. yeah ive checked and retuned a few times. the plugs are always wet when I remove them
  21. Hey guys, my 1st post but ive be on the forum for a while reading/learning my son and i have each a firestorm 10t and im have some problems with one of them. I am using a lot of glow plugs the engines are hpi/nitro star g3.0 .18 each time were out his car will cut out and wont start again after anything from 30mins to 1hr when I get home and pull the plug its not glowing when I check it. put a new one in and it fires up instantly ive tried medium plugs and am now trying a super cool plug ive tuned both engines myself and have many times checked the temps they are never lower than 170F and no higher than 210F fuel im using is hpi 20% it is only 1 of the engines that is constantly blowing plugs ive been told by people and read everywhere that the .18 engine on 20% fuel should be running the medium plug eventhough the manual says cold plugs. the good engine is running a medium plug and is running great.
