This thing is a monster, IMO I think it's too big. but that's how I felt when I got the baja so hopefully I will get used to this. Their is a good chance that it will get a run today going park later on so will get a video up this evening. & yeah dunno why their rovans the listing said mxt hostiles so mhmmmmm Hopefully the engine fires up.

Nothing is gonna bend those towers apart from throwing it off the moon, they are overbuilt for the job.

Seriously a long term project though building 3 baja's at once must be painful sourcing parts but entertaining nonetheless. :thunmbsup:

It's the rcmk cr300b reportedly 7.5hp @ 19,000rpm, so drivetrain should be ok with the stock oils etc. (I'll be surprised if it actually performs at those figures, doubt it) & yes sorry was on about the 19T pinion, that's cool if it fits. Person I bought it from (kieren) has already rebuilt the whole thing replaced oils,grease etc. so I'll leave that for now. I'll go around & have a read of some 5ive threads, should make it clear on where I wanna take this.

Hello folks, This is the start to a new losi 5ive build thread. I will be receiving it this Wednesday, late due to the bank holiday. I am already getting bits & bobs together so had a couple questions on certain things, thought i'd start a thread & put them all here 1) For the dual steering, which 2 servo's will be better: Savox 0235 or 0236? 2) What is a locked center diff in a 5ive & what does it do? 3) I got a rcmk on the way for it, do I need to upgrade any bits of the transmission? (or what will give out first) 4) Does a 19T bell work with the stock spur or does that need to be changed? 5) I know they come pretty much bulletproof, but does anything stock in a 5ive need upgrading? Sorry some questions might be dumb. Does anyone with a fullkill throttle linkage know what size those ball end screws are that link the throttle linkage with the servo arm. I've lost the nut to that & it's really tiny. Can't seem to find the ball end screw that size or it's hex nut anyhwere?

I reckon before buying a new engine or investing any money spend some time in the petrol & largescale section of this forum. You'll gain a ton of knowledge here & then hopefully later you can make a more informed decision on what you want. Or if you let people know what exactly you want from a new engine they can help you decide what would be best for you. Btw what I can take from 'kings 2 speed' is that it's a KM engine with a 2speed. (Which are the gears) that's a separate thing in itself.

Was shopping one day, saw a electric buggy in menkind (Buggy was probably a unknown brand), box said it could so 60mph so decided to buy it. Found out it was out of stock which was probably a good thing (found out later on). Went home did a bit of searching & then found out all about nitro (that was non-existent to me then didn't know what nitro was). Eventually came to modelsport & bought my first buggy Hyper 7 TQ2. From their I've moved to largescale got a baja & now got a losi 5ive on the way. I know this hobbies got heaps more for me I'm racking up a Rc a month, guess that will keep the doctor away.

Looks clean mate, I see you got the cage from the other losi Will also get a review in on the rcmk cr300 Sadly my rcmk has not been dispatched yet, & I just bought 5ive which comes with a baratlone big bore racing xp pipe. does anyone know if that fits the rcmk cr300 (sorry for hijack)

I have KM Stars, yet to test them. But quality wise they feel good & all beadlock holes were perfectly aligned with my silverbacks & had no problems with integy & silverback screws.

make sure you got the RH props on the motor which spins clockwise & LH prop which spins anti-clockwise.
