  1. Cheers for the advice guys. The ta01 will be restored rather than upgraded. I have a new toy to play with. FTX edge.
  2. I wouldn't say gentle run but I just keep it on roads atm.
  3. Will the motor and esc fit this? http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/185653-basic-motor-upgrade-on-tamiya-ta01/
  4. It was the 58112 cosworth. So your saying to use the black and silver can with the new gears and the 19 tooth pinion?
  5. Ok. Getting a bit lost now, im guessing the lower the turn the more powerful the motor is? My budget for the esc and motor is
  6. Hi guys. Just looking to speed the car up a bit, I dont want to have to upgrade any other of the stock electric or anything. What's the most powerful 540 motor tha car can handle?
  7. Thanks. I fancy the old ford pickup types. Something like was on the midnight pumpkin
  8. Hope the dogs dont tbh. They'd eat it!Mastiff on one side. French mastiff on the other
  9. Im only just getting into this as my son has become interested in rc cars, ive ordered him a cheap car for now to see just to see how he goes and if it keeps his attention but now I've dragged out my old car and have an excuse to play and an opportunity to tidy it up a little, my budget is tight as I already have an expensive hobby but I wondered if I could speed the car up a bit by either upgrading the stock motor without upgrading the casing or will higher rated batteries help it? The biggest I have now is 1400mah. First on my list though is a shell, the cosworth one is pretty tatty, the car will only really be used on our street or parks/ car parks but I'd wondered if any of the truck body's will fit to give a low rider or hot rod look?
  10. This model had smaller than normal wheels though. Standard 1/10 wheels will mean cutting the arches out.
  11. When I say mini I mean cars with the tamiya m 03 chassis.
  12. Hi guys. I have recently dug out my old tiger stripe cosworth as my son is taking an interest in rc cars. Now the shell is a mess but doesn't concern me as I can tidy it for now until im happy he drives it well enough to buy a new shell (scooby or focus rs maybe) The problem is the wheels or more so the tyres! This model only has 42mm x 26mm rims and the tyres are rare. Is it my imagination or are mini cooper rims also 42mm x 24mm? Will they fit?
