  1. Anyone use one?

ive just discovered the and i think they look pretty cool. its amazing what you can do with them too.

I was just thinking about using one for a bit of retropie and playing some old skool games on it :D

was also thinking about maybe a robot arm and a smart mirror too.

just wondered if anyone knew anything about them, has one, can share experiences etc

  2. when i drifted mine, i dodnt bother with a locking diff etc, i just put some drift tyres on it and away it went, i did post a video on my micro rs4 thread (which i need to update)

you can buy a locking drive set, they arent expensive (one good thing about micros) but how much difference it makes, i honestly dont know, i have mine in grip setup.

with regards to lipo, im the wrong person to give advice, mines on an exoteck chassis so im limited to 800mah 2s batteries.

  3. Looks great with all the electrics in.

I hope you manage to get the handling sorted. It won't be anything serious, just a fine tuning required.

One other thing, i would use small cable ties to tidy up the flapping cables, you don't want these wrapping round a wheel or going under the car, it may make the car stop by unplugging something or even worse, damage something.

  4. Also it might be because the left tyre is slightly lower than the other, that can affect it too. Our track has more left hand bends than right so I'm wondering if ones worn down more.

As the dark knight says, adjust the springs so the right height is the same as it may be lower one side and check the diff, it might be a bit loose from when I relubricated it for you.

Also check the corner weight by taking the tyres off the ground, putting a 20p on each tyre, if one falls faster than the other, adjust it slightly

  5. Hi and welcome to MSUK

I'd go for something from Tamiya personally. They are a great beginner car, come as kits so you and your son can build it together and as you and him progress with it, you can upgrade it to make it faster etc

These are all the same car (chassis) but with the super car look you were after. You would get one up and running easily with your budget.

  6. Me too Carp. I'm excited for the new season. The rule changes are going to make it interesting and I think a few of the 'lesser' teams have been developing the car ready for this change and 2016 was a write off in their eyes
