Lipos were warm after stopping at 3.8v and esc was about 100 degrees

Could do with a bit of advice guys. I took my hyper ST out earlier, after dropping from a 18t pinion to a 17t, as it was getting quite hot. I'm still finding it's running a bit hot on the motor. I shut it down on 160 degrees. Should I carry on dropping teeth on the pinion ? Or should I go up teeth on the spur ? I've got a spare 52t spur for my centre spider diff. I'll list what I'm using to make some sense of it all Leopard 4082 1600kv Xerun 150a esc ( stock settings, drag brake off ) Hyper 7 Diff pinions front and rear Spider diffs front and back Spider centre diff ( with what I think is a 47t spur ) Can't remember diff oil weights, but I'm going to redo them all Been running on 5s Badland tires I know that I've changed the gearing by putting the hyper 7 pinions in, just not sure how. Is the gearing all wrong on this ? Or is something more sinister at work here ? There is no binding on the drivetrain. All hub bearings are brand new. Do I got up/down on pinion ? Up on the spur. Get rid of the spider diffs ? Any insight would be great guys. All the gear ratio stuff I just can't get it to sink in Im afraid.

Spoke to my old man about it, he said the only option is to put a switch in. Or to do it this way... Removes needing to plug the bullets in fast and the extra wires.

Hey Noj, I'm finding I'm only getting 5 beeps out of 6 unless I connect the 8mm bullets up super fast. It's a XL2 I'm using, so no power switch. Anyway around this besides having the nimbleness of a safe cracker ? Should I get a smaller resistor ? Say 5 ohm ?

I fitted 1w 10 Ohm. Is it ok to leave it connected aswell ? Or disconnect after arming ? All works good btw, zero zap, arms fine.

Is a Cap Pack, Glitch buster, UBEC, and anti spark a bit much ?

Hi guys, how do I solder up my batteries and esc if I'm using my lipos in series ? Do I only have to put the extra cable on 1 or more of the batteries I'm connecting ? If both, how to I wire them up ? Cheers

Prefer a Losi 8ight tray or something bigger. I've got 3 of those trays you get with the absimma brushless mounts. Too small.

Are they the inside measurements of the tray ?

For 6s yes mate, would like to replace the one that is on my new hyper. It's not long or wide enough.

Sorry to go off topic here mate, I'm after a better tray for mine. Wondering if anyone has tried fitting a Vorza battery tray on a hyper http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/64284/ It's adjustable just not sure how well it would mount.

Couple of bits knocking about and would like to sell or do a straight swap for some MT / Truggy / Buggy tires and rims ( UN-GLUED ). The GRP tires i started to belt them but didnt finish, so the other 3 need doing. The trencher X's have 1 dodgey hex. This could easily be fixed with some JB weld ( lots of info on this dotted around the web ). They're in good cond, bit dirty, unbelted. Only selling these as i want something smaller and lighter for bashing with. Right, brilliant ! Thanks for the heads up guys ! As i only got the crazy hyper 7 today, in gonna bash that the weekend and order some bits in the meantime. 52t spur, some new rims and tires ( my 40 series trenchers im gonna sell, can't be arsed to bake them off to belt them) ive got some max mulchers, phatlines, and some badlands i use mostly and are all belted. A BEC and a Y harness. Centre diff i need to put some heavier oil in too, got some 500k. The front unloads like crazy with the 100k thats in there atm. ( if anyone has a 52t spur for a spider diff and you wanna flog it, let me know ). Also if anyone has seen or done it, I'm looking to change the battery boxes to something bigger, so I can run larger capacity batteries. Anyone know of a mod for this ? Sorry for going off topic, Hukt
