i have actually decided that i am just going to buy an ARF model or something and have this one as a sideline project to learn the ins and outs of it all so my next question is, what could you recommend? i have a £400 budget

yeah true, if i keep as cheap as i can, it wone be such a problem if i screw a soldering job haha

thanks for the info, the cheap setup looks promising, i am okay at soldering but for my first build i would like to keep it as simple as possible or cheap as possibly that way if i screw up on any part its not so much of a big deal, are there any realy benefits to having soldered motors over the bullet connectors? and in terms on TX/RX i was thikning about going for a sort of high end one, i know the frsky tryanis is a popular choice, if i go for something like that i would not have to worry about upgrading it in the future when i upgrade the quad or build another one.

im in the process of building a 250 racer, to a basic degree i know what i am doing, i would like to know what sort of flight controller/PDB i should be looking at getting without spending too much, i have been looking at the skyline 32 advanced, it's cheap and looks good for a beginner to set up (im not too good at soldering either, so thats a plus) i don't want to spend out more then £100 on motors and esc's, i have been looking at an LD power set on hobbyking but im skeptical with reliabilty, when motors themselfs can cost a pretty penny, eventually i will go to fpv but funds are not easy to come by for me, i would buy a pre built model however doing it myself would mean i can learn in the ins and out ready for a future expert build. So far i already have a frame, i picked up a graupner Alpha 250q for cheap so im happy with that. thanks in advance to anyone thats going to help me out.

Anyone have any idea what turn motor is is this, it's pretty quick but the only information i can find is that is a 540 motor.

My Beloved Buggy has to go due to it just not being used, i have no time for it, it's in very good condition with the usual wear and tear to the chassis and wheels. i have cleaned it up nest i can with what i have with me and it's in pretty clean condition but can do with a once over if you want it spotless, comes with a two sets of tires, one brand new set and the original set with worn rims, the tires still have tons of life left though and will last a while, a small tool kit with various sizes of allen key and a savox multi tool, two glow starters, one of which i believe not to be working and a charger for them both, i have also included a hand fuel pump, a very handy tool to have, goes like stink and was tuned perfectly the last time i had it running which was back in august/september time since then it has just been collecting dust can be seen running if collected, will throw in some fuel if collected looking for £225 (£240) plus postage which will be £15 for next day delivery with APC Ebay Link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=282264895868&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_500wt_1414 will take £200 + P&P (£215) through forums, saving on the ebay fees then
